This early and beautiful brisk morning I came through the drive thru and ordered a Biscuit and Gravy Combo meal with a side of hot fresh coffee. I’ve come through the drive thru from time to time and normally it is busy but that doesn’t keep this business from making food like the wind. The people on the other end are kind and polite and just want to get your order and get you out of the line and they did just that as I pulled through. After ordered my food and coffee they were sure to have my hot coffee ready for me at the window. The food here is not only good, it’s not too terribly expensive. I do wish they had a healthier alternative. This news resolution is hard enough with all the unhealthy options, and since they did away with salads at McDonald’s I’m stuck making meals at home….that’s besides the point. I received my coffee and breakfast quick and I was out. When I arrived home I opened up my styrofoam container and there was gravy everywhere. The lid for the gravy was not all the way on and it go everywhere. I was going to call about it but decided against it since I know accidents happen but it was still a good meal nonetheless. My family and I go through Virginia while traveling often. We now have a baby and like to stop to eat and change the baby at the same time. I quickly realized that neither of the bathrooms had a baby changing station, forcing me to change my baby on the floor. (Gross) I kindly asked one of the workers to mention to their manager that they needed to install a changing station and I was appalled by her response. She laughed at me and said “we are a new store and they will never do that.” Her dismissal of my feedback was not only frustrating, but also ignorant. I certainly hope that this is not the case of the owners and this establishment can be made more family friendly with one simple improvement.
