Caught Chef Tami’s Harlem Seafood Soul truck down at the Greenpoint open air fair and it was worth the hype!!! Tried the fried shrimp po’ boy on perfect bread with the most delicious garlic aioli. Can’t wait to go back and try more things. Best part was how warm and hospitable chef Tami and her staff were – they treat you like family, highly recommend!!

We came here after we saw the Netflix Doku about New York Streetfood. We came here all the way up from downtown and had to wait about ten minutes for the food – totally okay. My husband and I shared the shrimps and grit in the Central Park, because the food truck is in a crowded and hot area with nearly no shadow (we came here on a hot summer day). So I would recommend to take the food to one of the parks nearby. It tasted really good, homemade and was full filling. I think about 20 Dollars is quite much for the meal and there was not the same energy and vibe that I saw on Netflix. Seems to me more like a show, but the food is good which counts in the end. Thank you.

If you catch a glimpse of this great little food truck, don’t hesitate to get up close and get some grub. Harlem Seafood Soul is where it’s at. Recommended items: Shrimp and Grits (savory garlic butter and herbs) the flavor can’t be beat, shrimp po’ boy (the taste is popping), and remember the infused lemonade (oh so refreshing). I was in such a rush to eat the food I forgot to get some pics. I look forward to my next time. Chef Tammi, is a gem! She puts her heart and soul in those recipes. It shows in the flavor.

Happened upon their food truck while out one day and the smells coming from the truck really fired up my appetite. I had the crispy catfish nuggets and some really delicious, cara cara blood orange lemonade. It was very good food and Tammy was a joy to chat with while I waited for my order. Love her!

This Food truck was at the Hip Hop Gods and Kings concert at Lincoln Theater park. The chef was so rude and nasty to people and it was disgusting! The food was tasty but she will NEVER get my money again. Funny thing is when I went back to my seat and told my friends about how she was talking to people, they said they had heard that too many times before so they would not be support that business. Tasty NOT worth the funky attitude!!!!

Chef Tami was so nice to everyone who was waiting in line, and she was interacting with even the most shy people. I waited over an hour to get the food, but it was kinda worth it. The shrimp and chips were really good, and worth waiting in line for a long time. My family loved the food so much and we had a good time talking to Chef Tami.

The wait was worth it! We waited quite a bit for the food but I almost cried when I tried the shrimp – it was THAT good. I grew up near the coast of North Carolina, so having access to fresh seafood every day, and I’m picky about my seafood. I can tell all y’all this place is GOOD. We got the shrimp and chips and the fish and chips. I would have gotten the grits but I’m always scared to get grits outside of the south, but since Chef Tami’s family is from SC I’ll have to try it next time!!

The dishes taste great and are served fresh right on the spot out of a modern food truck. We were warmly welcomed and had a good time there. Visiting Harlem Seafood Soul was a highlight of our New York City trip. Best regards from Germany!
