Being a Chicago native and hearing a Harold’s was opening in Cedar Hill which is about an hour away but was music to my ears so we decided to dine in today. A little disappointed that they are only open Sunday from 12-4 so we couldn’t do dinner so we went for lunch…June was a very nice lady who took my order but it took 45 mins to receive our order the wait time was too long and there were quite a few customers to tend to…just think they need more help as the 2 ladies at the register were taking orders, making drinks and serving the food. Eventually we got our food catfish & wing combo(pictured) it did have that authentic Chicago flavor and the mild sauce tasted just like back home so for that I give 4 stars

Truly disappointed, went on the review of someone who said they had really good gizzards. The gizzards are not good, they were very hard and chewy even though I asked them to be cooked soft, there was no seasoning on the gizzards batter, actually more batter than the meat itself. The chicken wings were very small, they almost looked like Cornish hen wings. The fries were good, although there was no seasoning on them.

Well I waited until the newness wore off before dining in. Let’s just say it was over hyped. The food was ok at best. Wait wasn’t long at all and good music filled the atmosphere.

First time getting to see what Harold’s is all about. I got the chicken tenders and I was very impressed. The tenders are definitely lean white meat, they are huge, I ordered an 8 piece and it took me two days to eat it all! My food came out piping hot! The fries aren’t anything to write home about, but the sauce is really good. At this location in Dallas, the service was great! The servers were some of the friendliest I’ve ever had. There was a really nice bar area there too, with TV’s so that would be a good option if you just wanted to grab a drink and watch a game or something too. I had a good experience and would definitely go back.

Kind staff. Chicken was overcooked but I liked the taste. Fried broccoli was good. Fries were ok. Cple slaw was good but the portion was small. The ladies of my household said no more. Wish I could give a better review, but I truthfully give my honest review for each contribution.

The customer service was good, restaurant clean and would be a nice spot to watch sports. The prices were a bit high, we ordered a 6 piece wing dinner and a large catfish dinner which comes with fries and coleslaw. They don’t allow substitutions. The coleslaw came in small container sauces are served in. The fish was greasy and rubber-like, and the fries were unseasoned. It took 25 minutes to receive our order (they didn’t appear to be busy). We drove from Arlington, it was not worth the drive and we will likely not visit a second time.

*Very honest review * My husband is originally from Chicago and we visit frequently so we were excited about this until we arrived it was very nice and clean but the service was horrible! There were more than a few workers just standing around not doing anything at all but giggling! We were not greeted so we spoke because they were having their own private conversation that was more important than us! After we ordered, we sat down and waited an hour for our food! While we appreciate the freshness of the food, no one asked us if we needed a refill, and even after we got our food no one asked if everything was ok and still no one asked if we needed a refill. We stopped one lady that we thought worked there because no one wears a uniform or an Harolds shirt and asked for a refill but it seemed as tho we were bothering her so I was confused! Then we ordered the combo of 2 catfish and 3 wings a piece and the food was actually good but not authentic Chicago Harolds, the 2 catfish consisted of 1 piece of catfish that was cut into 4 pieces for the both of us (see pic attached I am not exaggerating) and our total was $40 for 1 piece of fish and 6 wings with some fries and 2 drinks! WE WERE ROBBED! Overall my suggestions are better customer service, uniforms or just Harold’s employee T-shirts for the employees and friendlier service. We won’t return….

Update I went back on a Friday afternoon and the service was much better. I waited about 15 minutes for my food. Chicken was good. Staff friendly.
