Highly recommend this place as it’s going to get better as it works out the kinks. Not many places as nice on the Edgewater 214 peninsula. Good but not excellent food yet. Still new and probably figuring out the menu and local tastes. We’ve tried almost everything on the menu and our favorites are the ahi appetizer and salmon dinner. Both of those were great. The crab dip is too oily and the snapper was over seasoned for our liking. The medium-rare steaks were pink but not red as we’re used to elsewhere. The restaurant is on a narrow part of the roadway with water views on both sides. Classy modern decor and comfy high back soft chairs, with varying layouts for any size family. A bit overcrowded where you can’t back up your chair without touching the people behind you. Each time we’ve been there seems to be more wait staff than patrons, and all were super friendly. I’m sure that everything that can be improved will be as the management was attentive and the chef seemed to be top-notch.

Very nice atmosphere and friendly people. The special was flounder and king crab. The ahi bowl was excellent and the desert was divine. We really enjoyed our time celebrating a birthday and definitely will be back in the summer!

Updated 2nd visit. We visted Harper’s for the 2nd time this past weekend. We wasn’t as happy with the food as we was the first vist a couple months ago. The crab cakes had a different sauce than the first time. The corn didn’t taste as good as the first time and instead of having the corn on the plate under the crab cakes, a small table spoon portion was given in small countainer. You can compare the pictures from the first visit and the 2nd visit of the corn portion. We also ordered the bread pudding again on the 2nd visit . We was given 2 scoops of ice cream with a very large piece of bread pudding on the first visit and requested if we could pay for a 3 rd scoop of ice cream, but was informed by the waiter that the chef said you can only get the 1 scoop of ice cream with the bread pudding now and you cannot buy extra ice cream, because they need 1 scoop for each of the bread puddings they have left. You can see from the pictures the small portion of ice cream and 3/4 of the bread pudding still left with no ice cream. We was also going to order another dessert but you could not buy ice cream with it, so we did not buy the 2nd dessert. However, The Salmon dinner and Sweet Potato was still good as before.

I am so impressed with this restaurant. They have only been open for the last 3-4 months but they are really hitting it out of the park. The atmosphere is great, wonderful views of the water and very open with lots of windows. The service was outstanding. Our server was incredibly attentive and checked on us regularly. We never ran out of drinks and she went above and beyond to make sure all our food was prepared to our liking. The food was terrific and the menu offered so many creative and interesting dishes. The restaurant bills itself as a steak and seafood establishment and it didn’t disappoint in those areas. I had the crab cakes and there was so much lump crab meat it was amazing. The drink menus is equally creative and the spicy jalapeno margarita was fantastic. The evening I was there they also offered a flight of 3 margaritas with very interesting flavors. Finally the dessert choices were incredibly impressive. The two really intriguing options were the smoked s’mores and the banana ice cream sandwich. The chef came by our table once we had finished eating and we really enjoyed the conversation. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. I really loved it and can’t wait to return. I will be back to hang out during happy hour and try apps and drink specials as well.

Harper’s Waterfront is a neighborhood gem located on the water in Edgewater, Maryland. From the moment we walked in the door, we felt welcomed and important. From the hostess Julia to our wonderful server Katherine and the executive chef Brian, we were truly made to feel like royalty. Everyone was accomodating, personable, friendly, and professional throughout the entire evening. The restaurant is a vibe and perfect place for a celebration, night out with friends, or even date night.

Very nice, upscale restaurant. Drinks and food very good. Service very quick. Menu does not have prices for all dishes, and I’m not talking about the market value dishes. Drinks menu does not have prices at all, and the server did not know it – ($15 spicy margarita). It’s pretty new restaurant so maybe they will work it out.

I was really looking forward to trying out this neighborhood restaurant. Boy, was I disappointed. For someone that has food sensitivities, I was very limited on food options as they don’t offer much for dairy free or gluten free. When asked if I could get the mussels appetizer without dairy, I was told no because it was already made with cream. For dinner, I ordered the dry aged New York strip $88, medium rare. It came out very rare, purple in color and It looked like it was steamed and then thrown on the grill to get grill marks (only on one side). Such a shame!
