We like to cook, smoke and bake our food the same way it was done 40 years ago. That’s why every fresh egg is cracked and every brisket spends all night in the smoker. We were raised in the restaurant business, which is why Harris County Smokehouse feels like home. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to make sure you get your BBQ fix any time of the day, any day of the week.
Barbecue, potatoes & sandwiches share the menu with Tex-Mex fare in a lively lodge-style space. Based on 920 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.0 stars. Price $$

Four of us ate at this very clean location in Tomball this afternoon and it was fun and filling. The four stars are for the dry brisket. But everything else, including the pork ribs, chicken and ALL sides were perfectly seasoned and delicious. I especially liked the seasoned rice. The chicken and ribs were perfectly smoked, exactly how I like them, not a heavy smoke. Be sure to grab some of their muffins in the self serve area! So yummy.

Brisket was tender and tasty, sausage was good, ribs a bit tough, potato salad was good, coleslaw was not crisp, fried okra was exchanged for corn on the cob, the rolls were great, grandsons could not get enough of them.

Quick stop for breakfast before our roadtrip. Great selection and quick order process. Chicken fried steak and grits was pretty good, french toast was a bit dry but edible. Pancakes and Omelets were also pretty well cooked.

At scrapbooking retreat, we ordered food from here. We were very excited about coconut pie. The food was very good, all except the pie. The pie was more like a chess pie, but it tasted like pure sugar, dry, no flavor, very disappointing. Don’t waste your money!!!

Ok my first time here just a heads up don’t get a tray if you’re ordering breakfast go down the line and place your order with a server it was our first time and they expected us to know that….but over all the food was average for breakfast foods. they have very generous portions I had the smokehouse combo with bacon and smoked sausage the pancakes were good and I like that they have sugar free syrup also. the rolls and bread is complimentary and fresh I would definitely go back and try the bbq it smelled so good

I happened to be in Tomball and found this gem of a place. Food was great, and the atmosphere was great. The only thing I wish they had was a hot BBQ … But the BBQ sauce they had was not bad. We will be back.

I’ve been going to this chain for a decade and I don’t think I’m ever going to stop. Baked potato all the way. Be sure to save room for the extra little cornbreads they got. The staff is super helpful. When the guy realized they hadn’t brought out our okra, he brought out a double order and apologized

Free boiled peanuts, sweet rolls and cornbread with your meal. Very Texan vibes throughout. Food was great and staff was polite. Will definitely come back.
