I found this place by accident– I got turned around looking for a different restaurant, but didn’t have too much time left on my lunch break to go exploring, plus I had never tried Caribbean cuisine before, so I took a chance. It’s a bit small and has hole-in-the-wall kind of vibes, but the owner was super friendly. And his recommendation of the jerked chicken was spot on! The container he gave me was basically overflowing with spicy, tender, juicy goodness. It lasted me two meals, there was so much. I’m a glutton for punishment, so next time I go I’ll probably ask for the hot hot spice level, but whatever level of heat he made it at this time was still enough to make my nose run.

I’ve grown to know Harry personally over the passed couple years. He is from Trinidad. I go there often. I especially love the goat roti and the oxtail. Hope you like spicy food! He makes and sells his own signature scorpion sauce.

I’ve been a customer of Harry’s since 1986 when he was on Central Avenue and have never been disappointed. I almost always order the Curry Potato and Chickpea Roti Dahlpourie. It is so good that I haven’t ventured too far from that one, especially when paired with the Dhal Split peas and Red Beans. The Dhal mitigates the heat from the most excellent hot sauce that Harry makes from Scorpion chiles imported fresh from Trinidad.

One of my favorite places to eat in Minneapolis. It’s not the fanciest and I’m pretty sure sometimes Harry does the serving as well as the cooking. His food is amazing! Definitely try it out if you love curry based foods and spice.

Discovered this place a few months before I moved out of Minneapolis and I was hooked. I still crave it all the time. The spiciness, flavor, and roti are just perfection. Harry is also super nice. I had my friends ship me his hot sauce; we call it liquid gold. I’ve moved to 2 subsequent cities since and I never lose track of it.

I can’t say enough good tings about Harry and his restaurant. First he’s a super nice, genuine guy. Food is amazing, just be advised if you say you want something spicy, Harry doesn’t play, it will be spicy. I don’t mean MN spicy, I mean Port of Spain spicy

Harry Singh himself made us doubles and roti. I ordered a veg roti and it was very filing and tasty too. I also ordered a punch too. 🙂

Likely the spiciest restaurant in the Twin Cities. Food was delicious but beware of the spice! There’s no indication of spice level on the menu but trust me that it’s about as hot as you can find.

Ordered the lamb curry dish for take out. I was told it takes an hour to prepare, which was fine by me since I had quite ways to drive there. After I picked up my order and got home, found out he gave me goat, not lamb. Jamaican patties were not home made. He took them out of package and microwaved them while I was waiting. By the way, I paid $122 for just 4 items. Feel ripped off and the food quality was very subpar. I don’t know why he’s got all the decent reviews. I honestly think anyone leaving this guy any good review must be smoking something!
