Absolutely loved this place. The scotch egg was perfectly cooked, the drinks were delicious. I got the English Garden and it was mixed very well. The flaolvors came through with a very herby gin taste with a bit of sweet from the applejuice. Lovely drink. The food was wonderful. The english breakfast has a slice of bread that is to die for. The lamb burger is bursting with flavor. I highly recommend this place. Its moody, sexy and an absolute treat to experience. Will definitely be back, even if we have to make a trip from out of town.

One word: wow! We were traveling through Georgia and met up with some friends at the Hart and Crown Tavern. It was a beautiful environment with rich, dark tones, exposed brick walls, and unique artwork. But the food!! It was absolutely fantastic. While driving home to St. Louis, my husband and I discussed our favorite food of our week-long road trip to South Carolina—we both agreed that Hart and Crown was in spot #1 or #2! I tried the bangers ‘n smash, which was sausage with fingerling potatoes and a tangy parsley sauce. I am gluten intolerant, and our waitress was very attentive to my needs and made sure everything I ate was safe. I felt very comfortable eating here with my food intolerances and allergies thanks to her proactiveness and the kitchen’s confidence. My husband had the burger with potato wedges, which he said were some of the best wedges he’s ever had. I wish we could have stayed in Madison longer to try more dishes and the restaurant group’s other restaurants!

The fish and chips are really good with the fish having crispy batter but buttery protein, and the potato wedges crisped nicely as well. The lamb burger is very good and the Cobb salad was very nicely elevated to accompany it. The waitstaff is attentive and friendly, providing good pairing recommendations.

Stopped by on St Patrick’s Day expecting an ornery crowd and terribly rushed food but experienced a quiet, peaceful tavern and super double amazing pub fair. Sooooo glad I stopped by and trusted the staff’s suggestions!

Our food was super delicious and very fresh. The desert was AMAZING, highly recommend saving room for desert. The lemon Passat was so light and fresh, perfection! This place is for sure worth the money you spend.

We were a little hesitant to try this place since we didn’t have a good experience at Mad Taco and they have the same owners. However, I’m so glad we gave it a chance. The hostess and waitress were very friendly. The ambiance is great and cozy. I was torn on what to get but our wonderful waitress Claire recommended the chicken pot pie. I got that and my husband got the lamb burger. Both were excellent! Flavors were good and balanced. Nothing tasted like they added flavor enhancers to disguise cheap ingredients. When we walked in, there was no one at the door and no one came to seat us for almost 5 minutes. The restaurant is rather small, but has indoor and outdoor seating. Our server was extremely friendly and helpful. We put in our order quickly, but our food never came. After 40 minutes, our server went to check on our food and discovered the kitchen didn’t have our order request so she resubmitted our order to be filled stat. We waited another 20 minutes before our food came to the table and then my order was wrong. The food was good, but nothing extraordinary. The best thing we ordered was the smoked gouda Mac and cheese. It was amazing. The bar was crowded and there are locals and tourists eating here. There is a real pub atmosphere inside.
