Since 1955 Hartle’s Subs has been going strong as an icon of the area. The recipe for the flying saucer hasn’t changed or the hot sauce… only the name of the family who owns it. Rich Robertson purchased the family name and recipes in 2004 and intend to keep Hartle’s Subs a family business. It is our goal for families to be able to enjoy a delicious meal without breaking the bank. We are doing our best to keep this area’s memories as fresh as Hartle’s ingredients.

Decent subs and average price. Got the cheese burger sub, burgers are thick and filling, and toppings were fresh. Not a bad place to go if your looking to get a sub.

It’s a dump look at all the bugs when you get there right ithe front window! Then make your order and count the rouches while you wait! If you tell the drunk alcoholic owner rich and his gold digger girlfriend tabby they just laugh!!! So wrong. So next time you get that crunch check your food it just might be a rouch!! Both shops should be shut down I think he is paying someone!!! Oh yeah don’t let your kids use the bathroom they all use drugs!!! I will never eat there again! Oh good luck eating in a 86 to 87 degree dinning room oh and the smell of rotten food is descusting you can taste it in the air!!!

I stopped in while traveling to Hagertown for something truly local. Well this place sits in a neighborhood and it doesn’t get any more local!!! Not much to the place but they make a good sub, piled high with good customer service!!! They got the 4th star for having chips with Frank’s Red Hot on them

Little neighborhood sub shop. Seemed steady busy.. My friend stops here whenever in the area for a cold cut. I bought a bag of chips because they’re was a good selection. You can dine in, too.
