For being a Curio property my expectations of the service were much higher than what I received. This is no way is reflective of the hotel staff but specifically the lobby restaurant. Keep in mind that this hotel is a significant walking distance from other hotels or restaurants so the most convenient and quickest option was the lobby. Unfortunately the coffee bar was not open at all due to the lack of a staff barista. The restaurant was opened late one morning for breakfast because both cook and wait staff did not show up. Sadly, the waitstaff when there seemed more interested in their phones and socializing than insuring the guests had a timely meal. It was my first time there and last because of the poor food service.

Best kept secret in Bham. Wonderful farm to table offerings, elegant decor, impeccable service. Then go up to The Roof for drinks and enjoy the stellar views. We will be back!

Italian? There wasn’t even the fettuccini that was listed on the online menu, and no pasta at all. The lettuce for the salad was whole pieces of lettuce they didn’t even cut up, and everything was bland and overpriced. The server took a long time for anything even though no one was there.

We got there about 10 mins before they were closing. But they seated us and we had outstanding service. I had the amazingly delicious steak frites and my husband had the also delicious shrimp bruschetta. I would absolutely go back!

Service was great. Our waiter was very good! The restaurant itself is nice and the chairs are very comfortable. The food was OK at best. There were flies hovering around our table that eventually ended up in our food. I ordered the Caesar salad which was just lettuce with croutons and dressing, no cheese. My husband had the shrimp and grits. The shrimp and andouille sausage was good but the grits themselves were very oily. Prices aren’t bad but the quality of the food is sub par.

Awesome hotel bar with a great bartender, Barron. The food selection is limited but the food is above average for hotel dining. I can recommend the Shrimp and Grits and the burgers. Are here both nights while staying at the Redmont Hotel.
