My wife and I shared a grilled shrimp over arugula salad, and a grilled swordfish. We made several special requests for each dish. Everything was perfect! It arrived warm still at a good temperature. We just put it on our plates and enjoyed a lovely quiet dinner together. My only surprise that it is a cash only restaurant. Fortunately a cash machine is right next to the pickup counter.

First the food was delicious, fresh and well prepared. The sword fish was prepared with care for the main ingredient. The rating of not being a 5 out of 5 is only because I have also eaten at a one Michelin Star restaurant in Paris so my scale is a bit high. However on LBI I think Harvey Cedars Shellfish Company is worth a stop.

Great, fresh seafood. Lobsters still crawling on display. You can get a meal or carryout raw seafood to cook @ home. BYOB (liq./beer store on corner) + they’ll give ice buckets & glasses for wine. CASH ONLY (ATM inside). Only waited 30mins., 4 ad. + 2 kiddos – 1lb lobster & mussels was delicious, as the broiled seafood platter. Decent kids menu. Small/cramped inside seating area, but it helps they’ve added outdoor tables w. umbrellas to keep wait times down. Parking = nightmare (tiny lot for maybe 10 cars & no str. parking nearby. We’ve parked 2 blocks away @ garage & blinds/shades businesses that were closed for the day but had spaces avail. out front.

I was so very disappointed with the quality of the food knowing what fresh seafood is available at lBI. My broiled dinner was so over cooked! Crab cake was burnt, flounder was hard could not cut it. The fried platter my partner ordered he could barely eat at all just lots of breading. The salmon ordered was also over cooked and dry. Maybe they should find a chef who knows how to cook seafood. I will not recommend dining at Harvey Cedars.

This has got to be the best seafood on Long Beach Island!!! Nothing on the menu is bad!! Some recommendations are the tomatoes, old bay fries, calamari, lobster, shrimp scampi, and the shrimp and scallop salad. If you are anywhere on the island, you have to go to this place!!!
