So .. where should I start . I paid for an upgraded room and upon check they informed me that they upgraded my upgrade at no extra cost! I literally felt like a princess walking down the glass hallway to my well appointed executive sweet . Room 290 with 2 balconies ( standing only) .The bed was amazing and the pillows had me floating in a dream! The bathroom was fabulous.. glass shower! However make sure you adjust water before getting in …especially when traveling with kids.The grounds were perfection with green trees and the resort itself is nestled on a golf course .

While the atmosphere was beautiful and elegant the country music did not match well with the chandeliers. The service was thr slowest I have had in years, never had my water refilled or my dessert order taken. We will not be back.

After being snowed in we decided to stop here and grab a bite to eat. Got there an hour before dinner service began so we just drank water and ate a salad. Boy do I wish we had just left after that!

Mediocre food and severely understaffed for a dinner service. Three servers on the floor for about 150 ppl space during dinner. Each was not really taking care of sections, the woman server was ignoring some of her seatings (including mine and another that gave up and left) or was just really disorganized and didn’t take note of seating times. She kept going back to the same tables.

This place had the worst service. We were the only ones waiting to be seated and it took them 10 minutes to seat us. They seated us next to a man who was talking loud on his cell phone. 15 minutes later we still had not been waited on. Tables had not been cleaned all around us and we never saw people eating at them. We moved to another table ourselves. 10 minutes later a waitress came by to take our drink order. 10 minutes later we still didn’t have drinks. As we left I told the waitress we would never come back and we will not. It used to be a quality place. So disappointing.

12/25/21 Edit: Christmas buffet is outstanding, not getting out cheap as each plate is $65, adult fare so kids or simple taste folks lose out, still worth coming and their continued 5 star rate with me./// Dinner for wife’s birthday was outstanding, from service to food to romantic atmosphere. Prime rib was perfect, dessert was decadent with just the right amount of table service to make the celebration perfect. Highly recommended despite more limited menu offerings.

Ordered a loaded fries with cheese, sour cream, bacon, chives, and pulled pork and shrimp Cocktail. When the order was replaced about 30 minutes later, it was a third of the size of the original order, but was much…much better tasting. Sadly a very poor experience. I would say we won’t. E back,, but it’s in Cheyenne so that’s kind of a foregone conclusion. Pictures below..it was 13 for the fries and 9 for shrimp Cocktail, we got 4 shrimp ♂️

We participated in the Valentine’s Day event special which was to include a 4 course meal with champagne for $75 per person. The entire evening was a fiasco. We were seated at a table which had not been assigned to anyone. We were invisible for 20 minutes before we approached the hostess and requested service. Out waitress turned out to be a very young and pleasant young lady and very apologetic for our neglect. This was her first day on the job and apparently had no training or supervision for what was to come this evening. She indicated that she was too young to bring champagne, but would find someone that could…that did not happen. She took our order which included appetizer, salad, entree and dessert. The salad was served and much later one appetizer was served and much later the other appetizer was served. The experience for the remainder of the meal and evening was much the same. I witnessed those around us grumbling about lack of service and attention. During the evening, our waitress approached us in tears apologizing for our experience. She explained her orders were getting lost in the kitchen and things were in chaos. Hathaway’s is an elegant eating establishment and would be expected to provide exceptional service and dining, particularly for this advertised Valentine’s Day event and price. The previous Saturday evening was the Cheyenne Dance Club event in which the quality of the meal was atrocious. We are puzzled given the reputation of this establishment.

The chicken alfredo was disappointing. The sauce had little flavor other than minced garlic. The chicken was dry. I expected more for the price. Here on business and will give something else a try tomorrow.
