3.75 rounded up to 4. Fair prices for Saratoga Springs. Very good fried chicken (Wednesday secret special: 6 pcs $15). We also had average tasting stuffed mushrooms (expensive at $13 for 4 medium mushrooms). Yummy hush puppies (~$11.50) were crunchy in the outside and light and fluffy in the inside; caramelized onions were not detectable, accompanied by homemade honey butter. The fried chicken was perfected cooked. The catfish was on the oily side: side of collard greens were excellent. Pass on the corn bread (small portion, $2.50) and the tiny hard biscuit ($2.50)

Hattie’s is really an outstanding restaurant serving southern food in up-state New York. I had the fried chicken – $20 for four pieces of chicken with cheesy grits. Friends also had the vegetable scramble and the Cajun omelet. Everything was very good. We also had the deviled eggs – very good. Go. You’ll love it I promise.

The fried chicken was so nicely crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The mac and cheese was rich and creamy and not at all overwhelming. Also had the fried chicken sandwich which was just ok – didn’t have the crispy consistency I expected and the seasoning was a bit much. The baked beans and rice were also so-so, lacked flavor. Would definitely come back for the fried chicken and Mac!

What a great find! I’m a southerner, so to be honest I was skeptical because good southern food is hard to find in the northeast. But this place is legit! We had hush puppies, jambalaya, red beans and rice, and gumbo, and it was all great. Service was excellent and the covered patio was like a little hidden garden.

I have had the best soul food in New York City. Well, at least I thought I did but this place beats any soul food place I have eaten at in New York City. The chicken, crunchy and well seasoned and the cornbread just melts in your mouth and the collar greens are one of the best I have ever had. The place is very cute and Qwaint and the service was very good. I will definitely be back.

What a great brunch spot! A Saratoga celebrity Chef named Maddie Hosley opened this restaurant almost a century ago. We sat next to the framed newspaper with the history.

We were greeted by a lovely person at the front door who was so friendly. We had made reservations and our table was ready when we arrived.

The chicken sandwich and the candied bacon was really nice. The chicken and waffles were okay, house fries were great. The vibe of this place is awesome. Drinks are nice, cucumber cool especially. The dishes are reasonably priced with enough quantity for two people.

Best hollandaise I’ve had in a long time. the biscuits for the Benedict were phenomenal. delicious home fries. the only downside is on the back patio the bees are a huge pain. they’d be wise to screen it in because of that.

Went because of it’s founder. Fried chicken breast so tender. Ribs were from the night before and not fresh. Corn bread was dry, again we went when the opened. Recommend you get there like 6pm. Plus you have to pay extra for corn bread or a small biscuit. So it was just ok. But still a cute place.
