We came here for breakfast, the food was delicious! The service was great, they were very accomodating for our group’s diet preferences. The croissant sandwich was so good! Poke bowl is also delicious for lunch!

Good selection for continental breakfast. With fresh fruits, pastries, cereal, scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, bacon, waffle, French toast, etc., it is quite a filling meal. One thing to note is the complimentary breakfast for Titanium/Platinum members only covers the cold dishes, but we weren’t told so on the first day and thought everything in the buffet section was covered, until we got the bill the next day.

The tomato crab bisque is wonderful, so good we got an order to go for following days lunch. We feel the Wela Pupu Sampler platter was overpriced and unimpressive. The truffle fries were crusty, chicken wings were good but there was limited choices of dipping sauces. The tempura fish was the star of the platter.

Our first touch point was a bit painful with a long wait to be served but after that it was amazing! Ryan one of the managers jumped in and from then on it was stellar. Maria served us breakfast and she was so kind and good at her role. The veggie mushroom stir fry and veggie impossible burger are excellent. Drinks are really nice. Bar area is nice and Lucy is on the ball behind the bar. I would easily come back here even if I wasn’t staying here. You also have nearby access to the pool and beach in a bay. Lava lava beach club has a good location. But this place has great food and drinks and service. Easy 5 stars.

Terrible food. We ordered Margerita pizza and Hawaii poke bowl. Both were awful. Pizza had huge think slices of tomatoes without any hint of basil and dough crust was soggy. The mango smoothie tasted like pineapple smoothie. Too pricey for the low quality food. Seems like they don’t have a chef but someone just putting stuff together without any knowledge of flavors.

We came around sunset for pupus and drinks. The bartenders are very engaging and attentive. We shared the pupu platter and Hawaiian pizza. All very good. At sunset we had a drink to go and walked to the beach. It was gorgeous.

We had the opportunity to dine with Hawaii Calls Restaurant last week while we were on the Big Island, and to say “Wow” is an understatement. We had reservations for their chefs series concept, which is a four course farm-to-table meal celebrating sustainable cuisine, local vendors, and an interactive dining experience. Each course featured pan-pacific flavors, Big Island ingredients, and aesthetically pleasing presentation. Our seafood, seasoned with Kona Deep Sea Salt, was Big Island Abalone and Kona Cold Lobster. If you have to eat your veggies, make sure they come from Kekela Farms – parsnips beets radish oh my! Chef’s dressing was divine and paired perfectly with Big Island Goat Dairy. Hamakua Mushroom farm provided the mushrooms for the third course, and they are my new favorite thing ever. They also provided finger limes which was basically lime caviar. Island Harvest’s macadamia nuts were simply the best for dessert. We chose to do the optional cocktail pairing, which did not disappoint. Kuleana Rum Works was the beverage partner and each cocktail complimented the flavor profiles of the courses perfectly. This was a great dining experience not only because it was a super delicious and memorable meal, but we also left learning a little more about the local farms. It’s always a special touch when the chefs come out and tell us a little bit about how they came up with their creations for the evening. Farm owners from Hamakua Mushrooms and Island Harvest were in attendance dining at the table, and we were all able to talk story about their history, their experience growing food on the island, understand agricultural challenges, and make connections to continue to support local. Shout out to the leaders and the team behind this!

Staff is great overall, friendly and attentive. Food however, ehh. Breakfast, even just the included continental breakfast items are tasty and plentiful. You can even get a drink to go at the end. However, the one time we bought dinner there, it wasn’t that great, just decent tasting. And for the prices, it should have been loads better for sure.
