We were a bit hesitant at first since it’s located in a food court but so glad we gave it a shot. We’re from out of state and this was the best meal we’ve had so far. Get all 3 shrimp flavors! They’re all so good! The girls working are all so nice and friendly as well. 10/10 and would definitely come back if we’re ever in the area.

They give a lot on their plate. The shrimp were good, but nothing else was outstanding. The kalbi short ribs needed to be marinated longer to have the kalbi taste.

I like going to Hawaiian shrimp co. But lately I’ve been going there but all their food like garlic shrimp bbq meats are all ready prepared. It’s like going to a bbq and eating out of foiled pans even the rice is cold. How come you don’t cook it as the customers order. Don’t get me wrong the food is good but fresh and hot is awesome too.

Big good portion for the price. I got the Kalbi steak plate. The steak was great. The kalbi is flavorful but slightly thin. The service was fast. Easy seating in a food court area.

Tried Hawaiian Shrimp Company for the first time today. Definitely the best place to eat in Hilo right now. Worth the price. Had the lilikoi shrimp and the steak and hurricane shrimp plates, both great. Good selection of sides too, reminds me of real local food that we’d eat at home. They should definitely consider opening their own stand alone restaurant instead of being the food court.

Great customer service. Terrible food would put 0 stars for the food if I could. Cold unseasoned corn tastes like it’s right out of a can. Hard rice, No seasoning/ flavor and over cooked or old steak. Food was cold and flavorless minute after ordering. Spent over $60 and I would not return.

Horrible establishment. Do not eat here. My wife ordered food from them and in her potato salad she found a worm. She took her food back and instead of giving her a refund as a apology they tell her they do not do refunds and she can have more salad if she wants and they will make sure its clean. She refused and just asked for her steak and rice. Horrible customer service.

I was ready for delicious steak but was greatly disappointed. had the steak and kalbi combo: steak well done and kalbi was hard. small portions for $19. next time I’ll stick with Hawaiian Style Cafe. hubby said the garlic shrimp was tasty but shrimp over cooked. service was good tho. bummer!

The people that work at this place pretty obviously don’t care about the customer whatsoever. Major attitude when we tried to order and didn’t care to answer any of our questions. They had maybe two actual sides available so when we asked for multiple scoops of mac salad she told us it would cost an additional $1.25 for each scoop after the first one. There were literally no other sides to choose from. Terrible staff, didn’t have the actual food they advertise. Don’t go here.
