Excellent ,Excellent ,Excellent !!! Loved the atmosphere and I sat at the bar facing the street with a great view down the street. They have 13 different sauces to try, my favorites were the Carolina, Mesquite, and Medium Jalapeño. Slaw wasn’t my favorite but I know some people like that kind of slaw, so no negatives…. Great Job for 1st impressions

Best food in Erwin! I know that isn’t saying much so allow me to elaborate… I am a BBQ snob and this place is solid. They didn’t offer a combo (pork and brisket) platter, but when I inquired they readily agreed to make one for me. The pork was better than the brisket, but the brisket was good. Good sauce selection.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said. Over 300 miles into the AT and this has to be my favorite restaurant so far. Especially unique, crazy hot dogs topped with pulled pork and slaw, delicious nachos. Owner said it started off as a joke but people took to it. I can definitely see why. Ordered the Super Hawg-N-Dawg and oh my goodness. Best 7 minutes of my life. Desserts were absolutely wonderful. One of the best days of my life.

What a great spot. Staying near town for a night, when we saw the Google pictures of the food. That was enough to get in the door… The original owner welcomed us like family, immediately and just naturally joked with our 7 & 8 year olds. Service was really quick and above reproach. Really missing something special if you don’t drop in … Oh sweet tea is perfect. Thanks to all, enjoy retirement!

Great BBQ! Their pulled pork is excellent. Several great homemade sauces to choose from. Service was outstanding as well. Prices were very reasonable. Make sure you save room for dessert.

Several of us guys were on a mission trip from Georgia up to NE Tennessee. We decided we wanted some good BBQ, but there wasn’t much showing up on Google Maps. HOWEVER, we did find Hawg-n-Dawg and we loved it!! Very good BBQ!! Great service… and Lou (owner) was great!!

I would give zero stars, but not an option. The BBQ is okay, OKAY, for Erwin (small town with minimal food options). The servers are usually nice and courteous, mainly cause the owner forces them to be; I’m not sure how they manage to be as nice as they are because of how rude and demanding the owner treats them. He is also has moments with customers too. I avoid the place because of the owner. I’m all for small business, but not his. The server staff has a significantly noticeable turnover. The downtown took on a whole new ugly facade when Hawg-N-Dawg moved in. The owner acts nice to customers, but it seems fake and very over-acted. I just want my food, not the distasteful experience.

My wife and I loved this place. The owner was a very pleasant and friendly man, and our waitress was top-shelf – perky, friendly, and very attentive. We sat outside in wonderful weather and enjoyed good barbecue and chili dogs. I love small town places like this.
