The overall experience was okay. We tried the New York style pizza-Crew, the white and red sangria, and garlic cheese bread. Our first time visiting Hawthornes in Mooresville. The pizza was delicious! We got a pepperoni and sausage Sicilian. It was massive. Enough for myself, husband and kid to eat. Plus enough for probably another 2 meals. The dough was cooked perfectly! The garlic knots were perfect. Fluffy and not overly greasy with a wonderful roasted garlic on top. Of course we had to get the waffle fries because… why not? The atmosphere seems very family friendly but I will admit it’s very loud. It was hard to hold a conversation at the table. My only complaint was the service. It was friendly, but our waitress wasn’t very attentive. Sure, they’re new and still working the kinks out but we waited almost 20 mins to pay after our check was delivered. The hostess refilled our drinks because she saw them empty for a while. So I’m sure with time this will only get better! Their bar specials included a $3 draft until the end of august… I’ll definitely be back for that! It was a little more expensive than we wanted but overall, still good.

For our first time at a Hawthorne’s we were pleasantly surprised. We expected just another pizza joint but this one is different. There were six of us, each having a different dish. Everyone was pleased with their meal. I had the calzone and it was one of the best that I have had. As far as atmosphere, it was a little loud and we found that talking to others in our party required a raised voice.

We have been to this restaurant four times since it has opened. The Atmosphere is so bright and clean. Everything we have eaten has been so so good. Kylie has been out waitress, she is so personable and attentive. My favorite so far is the baked ziti. Food always comes out hot and fresh. Nice to have such a great place to gather and enjoy some wonderful food.

I placed an order online. I accidentally ordered two orders of wings when they only have bone in wings. I called to see if they could correct it either with boneless or cancel one of the orders. The young man I spoke with tried to correct it and placed me on hold. Some young lady then got on the phone who was on some kind of power trip and tried to talk over me. I did get upset after she set the tone for it to go that way. But, I did not have any issue with the young man. This young lady who is the manager should not be in a position to talk to customers as she acts as if she is above them. There was absolutely no reason for her to think she can just talk to customers in such an unprofessional manner.

I stopped in this wonderful hidden gem because I wanted to pick up a Margherita, basil with crumbled Italian sausage pizza….it’s the best!!!! Looking forward to going there with a group of people to try more items on their menu.

I am so glad Hawthorne’s opened up in Mooresville. It is a wonderful addition to the downtown. We absolutely loved the outdoor seating. They added such cute planters and flowers to the patio. It is adorable.

I’ve been a Mooresville resident for 20+ years now. Very tired of the same ol same ol places. Was so excited about hawthornes opening to have a new pizza place in town. The buffalo chicken was beyond excellent. Cooked perfectly, just the right amount of buffalo and chicken and not to mention the taste, it was superb. The Sicilian was awesome. Thick, cooked just right and flavorful. I absolutely hate chicken wings, but I tried my wives and the flavor, texture, was good. Best pizza place in the lake Norman area by far

We had pizza and a slice of cheesecake delivered last night and I am very pleased to say it was all outstanding, possibly the best pizza on this side of town, if not all of Mooresville. I make pizza at home in my ooni oven, dough and sauce from scratch and so forth, and was impressed by their dough and that the pizza needed litle additional seasoning. This will be our new go-to for delivery and I hope they continue to be excellent. We look forward to dining in sometime soon!
