Amazingly friendly service, food is out of this world tasty! Had the pork, Mac & cheese, hash brown Cassarole, ribs, beans, Cole slaw,, and a burger. Homemade fried pies, OH MY!!! For real!! EAT here!! Super larger portions.

Listen. I read so many reviews before deciding to eat here…BASED ON GREAT REVIEWS. Yall lied. The food was bland, fairly certain the sides came straight from a can and now I smell like I worked an 8 hour shift at the local rundown McDonald’s. Oh…and we ate from Styrofoam while locals ate from real plates. I’m not mad about that, I doubt they were clean. 2 meals were $30 before the tip. Small portions of whatever you want to call that.

I never leave reviews but this was a must! Been in restaurant business for over 10 years and this food plus poor customer service was a deal breaker. I was excited to try a mom and pop BBQ place off the beaten path. I eat BBQ several times a week and smoke my own at least once or twice a month. So after paying I sat waiting for my food. I received the food quickly. I first tried the hash brown casserole hoping the reviews I read prior were wrong. Nope, absolutely nasty. Then the baked beans which were really good (can’t mess up baked beans). Then the ribs… Worst I have ever tasted. Not fall off the bone like a read in a review. They were dry as the bone and most of it was hard and solidified. It had a funny taste and as I thought about it I realized it tasted like my left over ribs I have eaten at home. Disappointed at the bad food I waited till there was no line or customers around to bring this to the attention of the owner. I asked her if she had a few seconds. She immediately said NO I am busy. I was astounded by this remark. I then said “really?” She then turned and said what is it. I asked her if the ribs were freshly cooked. She said they just came off the rack. Absolutely a lie. I told her that they were dry and had the taste that had been in the fridge. She just said “ok” and turned away from me. There was no smell in the air that you would have from cooking ribs. The ribs were not even warm and the fat on the ribs were not even soft. They had a soured taste as if to have been almost frozen after being cooked and then thawed out. No cares about the food or the customer! I don’t see this place making it in the business very long other than it is a quick place to stop for the locals. By the attached photo you can see that the meat was not fresh!

a short drive off the interstate of less than 3 minutes and located on the road behind Dollar General. Heads BBQ has the best on this side of the county! The chopped bbq at this place is fantastic! Incredibly consistent and always a sure thing. Hashbrown casserole is great and you definitely have to get the fried cornbread-or as grandmaw likes to call ’em ” ho-cakes”. The people are salted the Earth country and always pleasant
