This place is super inconsistent. I have been going here for several years, and for the most part the food is good, always seems to be better if you eat there however. I have noticed on several occasions when I get take out, the chicken can be stale (I live 5 mins away max) and the sushi will be not be the same quality as when you eat there. Last night for example, 3 of the rolls were mostly rice with very little filling. The customer service can be very good, depending on who is working, but it can also be horrible. Been straight out lied to before by one of the gals at the front counter. They very rarely bring out the food at the same time, last time I went with a friend she had eaten almost her entire chicken bowl before I even got my shusi roll. Also dislike the fact they got rid of the large drink, and only have one size option now. All in all, its ok…. ish.

Great sushi for not being a big fancy restaurant. Fresh, cooked fast. Prices aren’t cheap but not too much. Cheap sushi usually gets you sick, Never been sick after eating here thus far.

One of the cleanest restaurants I have been into in a while. STAFF WAS GREAT! Got the Kyoto bento boxes. Good size comfortable seating area with outside patio. I’ve lived in Tulare for 9 years and can’t believe I missed this gem.

I always have good experience every time my family eat in this place. However, this afternoon while i am ordering sushi to be picked up on my way home, I have the bad fortune talking with an incompetent server. I told her over the phone that I don’t remember the name of the sushis my daughters usually order and requested to read the names. She said there are a lot of them and suggested me to go to their website instead. I informed her that I am driving there already. She reluctantly read them very fast. I was able to recognize one—tsunami roll. Feeling that she seem not interested to help me and to make it simple, I just ordered 2 tsunami roll. I specifically instructed her not to put the green chili on top of the role. She seems oblivious of my request as she keeps saying chiratsa. I insisted it is the green chili but she replied that that is the chiratsa. So I thought she knows what she is talking about. Not even 15 seconds, I called her back as I remembered the other type of sushi-Wisconsin roll. I hurriedly called her back to change one of the tsunami roll to Wisconsin roll. When I arrived, there are 2 tsunami rolls and 1 Wisconsin roll. I was about to refused the other tsunami roll but I have enough of her. Before I left, I asked for tsunami sauce. She asked me back, ” what sauce”? The one you use for tsunami roll I replied. She said its just soy sauce. I looked at her in disbelief. Frustrated enough talking to her, I left the store. When I got, my daughter’s were asking me the tsunami sauce. And worse, there are green big chili’s on top of the tsunami rolls. I called the store immediately but they are already closed. And she wants me to look at the website and for her to buy time not to get my order. So disgusted that Wednesday afternoon. I hope the owner who is very friendly to us read this.

I don’t think the food is as bad as some of the people say on this review. Sometimes they do put too much sauce on their food. But it depends on how u want to eat it. There’s days I get side sauce or tell them I want only a little. Overall I think this place is decent

Overpriced. The chicken in my teriyaki bowl was terrible. The vegetables were just warm and the rice was undercooked. My sushi was very sloppily put together. Owner does not care and ignored my call.

I love their Teriyaki bowls and their beef bowls their Sushi is good but today out of all days I’ve been craving Sushi when I bought it it was really good I ordered the shrimp roll and two pieces of sushi had shrimp skin in it still please I love you guys but please do not be lazy on taking off your shrimp skin I almost choked on it twice other than that you guys are really good
