Food was very good. The server/bar tender was terrible. She was more interested in eating her food on the bar in full view of whole dinning area to check on our table. We were staying locally and ate there 2 night in a row. Same miserable service. Again, food was good, but the service will likely tank the business

The best food in town and service was great. This is my husband’s and my favorite place to go for dinner. They smoke some of their meats for over 10 hours and it tastes absolutely amazing. The sizzling steak is my favorite. It is carried to the table still popping and smoking!

We had Queen cut prime rib with garden salad and baked potato. Andre number two was the honey glazed salmon with baked potato and a cup of their custom Lobster bisque. Food was excellent quality.

From the outside it looks like an old bar. The food was fantastic. Tonight was Italian and we ordered a dish and split it and it was still to much. Chicken and Cheese Tortellini in pesto sauce with sundried tomatoes. Yum!! Great service too.

Staff is rude and owner doesn’t seem to comprehend the meaning of “service industry”. Stopped in for a drink at 8:20 pm. We were “greeted” with a snotty “Are you looking to eat, because our kitchen is closed.” No “hi, how are you?” Or “how can I help you?” We weren’t looking to eat. We actually ate there once before and we were less than impressed with their “Italian night”, but we thought we’d give the place another try just for a beverage. We were rationed one drink each. At 8:40 we were informed that my husband couldn’t have another drink, as I was still finishing my glass of wine. So he just had to sit there, even though other diners were still finishing up and chatting and as I was finishing my one alloted beverage. Even though their listing states that they are open til 9 pm, they cut everyone off so THEY can be done working at 9. (Apparently, a five hour shift is just too much for them to handle.) I’ve worked many times in restaurants, and the service industry in general, where if a customer walked in 10 minutes before close, guess what, you’re working late now. We will only continue to frequent restaurants that maintain that type of service, or at minimum, serve until their google listing states that they are open until. There are way too many excellent restaurants with kind, friendly staff (and owners) in the northwoods to waste our money here ever again.

Good prime rib dinner. Small place, so reservations are recommended.

Really tried to love this quaint and eclectic place in Mercer! Most recent experience had us spending over 2 1/2 hours on a weeknight. I guess long wait times for food and lack of drink refills made the poor attitude from waitstaff suck even more. If you’re not a local, neighbor, or a friend of the restaurant’s staff, don’t waste your time or money because you’re simply not welcome.
