This place is truly amazing. I was enchanted as soon as I walked in. The atmosphere is so unique and eclectic. The craftsmanship of everything is so beautiful and quite high quality. I had the tomato soup and grilled cheese. It was quite busy so there was a bit of a wait but it was worth it. The food was really delicious. Then we walked around and saw the plant store and that whole seating area was lovely. It felt very zen like. Even the bathrooms had character and are beautifully designed. And to top it off, there are free water stations! I only wish I lived in NH. I would be here every week.

I know a vendor who supplies food to Hearth and it was highly recommend for people with plant based diets. I went in and grabbed a bunch of stuff from the pre made section while my pizzas cooked. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the uniqueness of this place. It is exactly what Portsmouth needed. While I was checking out two women came up to me and said hi because I was buying the exact thing one of them were finished eating. . They were both so amazing and nice. One of them was doing R&D for a grab and go section. I really enjoyed meeting them. Now for the downside…. The pizza. We sat and everything was great they called my name and they served us at the counter. As I grabbed a slice I noticed it was cold, no real big deal because I was hungry. At the same time someone came to the counter and asked where their pizza was because they had been waiting awhile for it. All of the kids who worked there except one were extremely confrontational to the customer. It was not pleasant to see at this place because it seemed to warm and professional. One of the younger kids produced his pizza rather quickly and I looked over and thought that pizza looks good. As I’m eating mine I thought, this mozzarella seems real. Keep in mind I ordered both Margarita and veggie supreme so I was expecting vegan mozzarella. I asked if this mozzarella was fresh and he said yeah that our fresh mozzarella and I said so it’s not the vegan? He said no. The other single nice young man came over and apologized and said he could remake it but I just didn’t want to wait any longer. But this is a huge issue for anyone with dietary restrictions or even worse allergies. Another customer ended up coming while I was still there and they gave him the same attitude. It was rather unpleasant. I wouldn’t go back to get pizza again while that same crew of younger kids worked there. I do plan on coming back because there are many other stations with professional employees.

I’m sincerely obsessed with Hearth Food Garden! It’s everything I was hoping it would be (during the months of waiting for them to open), and a whole lot more. Lovely, healthful food. Extraordinary & peaceful interior. A sensory delight! Everyone there is sincerely kind and good at their jobs. A great place to grab lunch, meet friends for drinks and food, or to get work done in the many comfy-&-exotic-living-room areas. Highest recommendation.

OMG!!! This is THE SPOT in Portsmouth. The coffee shop from “Friends” meets your neighborhood succulent palace. This is far and away our favorite neighborhood spot. Things were already excellent before we met Keely. While sipping some stellar cocktails and waiting for our pizza to show up, we ran into our hero. “Keely” she flew our pizza out to us and found us a refill on our cocktails. She is apparently in charge of all things positive and let me tell you, this couldn’t be more accurate. This woman is a blast of energy and incredibly hilarious. She made our night and or as my girlfriend says “quite possibly our year”. The food, the cocktails the atmosphere!!! This is by far our favorite place in Portsmouth, WE LOVE KEELY!!!

Very cool space but logistics have definitely not been worked out yet. Why open when half of the stations aren’t available yet? Your options are essentially pizza, salad, or grilled cheese. Prices were Portsmouth reasonable. Having couches and cozy seating is a good idea in theory, but two of the couches we tried to sit on were weirdly soaked… Staff should also be advising parents to manage their kids. It’s not a kid-friendly space, so kids should not be running around playing tag or playing in the fountain (which happened while we were there). We probably won’t be back.

Absolutely LOVE this place. The ambiance and atmosphere is wonderful and so relaxing if you having a dinner or a coffee and slice of cake. My only negative is I really wanted crab cakes but the price on them was was to high and also on the ribs. Great prices on the hummus and the feta, tomato salad. We was going to get pick your own salad but you get 2 choices to add on the medium salad and also the large salad. Then it is 0.75 to add extra which is very high considering we are talking salad. Lower them prices please. A great place to go to 10/10

I have been at least ten times since opening, they are starting to open up more offerings and have brought on additional staff. The “turkey pardon” sandwich was amazing. Mini whoopie pie cookies are a delicious treat. Salads are phenomenal, good portions for the price. Excited to see things continuing to progress. Such a peaceful and welcoming environment – especially during hectic work days.

Wow I was really looking forward to getting lunch here, and my husband and I were incredibly disappointed. First, on the vegan options there was really only one sandwich or the salad bar which just is like the bare minimum you can provide. We got the “green on green” sandwich which was not great at all. Arugula, sauteed greens and kale pesto are all food with a somewhat bitter profile and there was nothing off setting it. I was hoping the hummus would pull it together but instead there was barely any put on the sandwich and when I tried a bit separately it tasted bland like plain chickpeas out of a can blended smooth. I think the people who built the menu would really benefit from reading Salt Fat Acid Heat because there has to be a balancing to make something taste good. Oddly enough the sandwich also felt greasy which I wasn’t anticipating based on the ingredients. Season your hummus or add a pickled onion or something with flavor.
