Great place for some down home southern food! The collards and cabbage were some of the best I have ever had! The potato salad is on point! All of the sides were actually great! Only four stars here because the baked chicken and pepper steak were just ok but the ribs were pretty good. Excellent customer service!

Look at my past reviews the food is amazing however the service is lacking. I ordered a to go order and repeated my order 2x my husband was sitting right next to me and heard the order as well. Upon arrival I was given a full order instead of the half I ordered..no big deal but I was also given the wrong item. I was expected to still pay for the meal. I asked if I could get what I ordered and the female cashier became aggressive. Another employee called the manager and the aggressive female cashier told many lies as I sat there and watched. I stated to her that I repeated my order twice why are you not being honest..at that point I went to the car and allowed my husband to handle the resolution because there is no way I’m going to argue over food that I’m paying for. I expected this at some point as the first time we visited the same aggressive cashier was arguing with her co worker I believe her cousin. My husband just called and said they were resolving things so there is a bright side however too much drama for food. I’m good

I rate my first time visit as 4/5 overall. The food was not as great as expected. Whiting fish was ok, cabbage had too much water, and sweet potatoes were pretty good. Ribs were finger licking good, collards were ok (from a can). Service was good and the disposable products were a bit surprising but it makes taking leftovers faster. Waitress was friendly and checked for assistance frequently, and the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. Music was a little loud at first but adjustments were made that made it more suitable. I will return.

I am new to the area and wanted to try local restaurants. We got take out here and I can tell you I will not be back. We got the plates, the turkey wings w/rice & gravy with sides mac & cheese and collards. The fried pork chops with double mac & cheese and fried country ribs with mac & cheese and fries. We spent close to $50.00. First of all the country ribs were baby backs and were ok along with the pork chops. The turkey wings were also ok but had a lot of bone shards. The mac & cheese was horrible. It was too overly seasoned and tasted nothing like any kind of traditional mac & cheese. It was seasoned like meat with some kind of seasoned salt. We could not eat it. The collards were too salty and tasted odd. I am one who seasons liberally and it was too much for me. The rice and fries were ok, but I wouldn’t say any of it was particularly good. I also don’t think the food was cooked fresh. Overall we ended up throwing away half of the food.

Food is unflavored and women waitress are disrespectful and ignore you. This is suppose to be a black owned and operated place but I felt unwanted and they act racist against me and I am black!! and they didn’t give me all my food so they prepared my bag and stapled it shut but left a meal worth 12.99. Food uncooked as the turkey legs tasted boiled not baked and greens tasted from a can with sugar added and mac&cheese was ice cold and unedible. I don’t like black owned places where the black women are aggressive and disrespectful for no reason. I mean completely unprovoked. They just walk around ignoring you and making you feel unwanted

Hidden gem…I got the ribs, which were falling off the bone, the way they are supposed to be!! Mac n cheese was on the money. Ocra was good too. Cool vibe and customer service was on point. Will definitely be going back!!

Heart &Soul Soulfood has the best Beef Ribs in Fayetteville North Carolina! They serve half racks and full racks! The only drawback is they run out of beef ribs consistently so go early!

That was my Frist time visiting this place. The order was called in. When I arrived the Greater was friendly ,& knowledgeable and very professional. The decor of the place was nice, liked the layout and the idea that u can due functions there. But the people whom ordered complained. The Turkey wings was not done, had to be re-cooked, the macaroni was burned and the sweet potatoes looked to be just mashed. A total of $50.00 was spent at your establishment just to be thrown away because it was uneatable.
