Are you going to/returning from Aspen and looking for a great restaurant with unique food? Heathers has got your back! I came with my girlfriend on a sunny day, I ordered some tapas while she got a chicken pot pie. My baked brie, french onion soup and gnocchi were incredible and filled me up considerably (2-3 tapas should be enough to make you full), and my girlfriend said that was the best chicken pot pie she’s ever had. You may not think a humble restaurant in Basalt is better than the restaurants in Aspen, but I wholeheartedly believe it is. They also sell pies and cakes (cherry pie, pistachio cake, etc.) Keep in mind that from 3-5 pm, entrees aren’t available but tapas and pot pies still are. The prices are a bit high, but that’s normal for being around Glenwood and Aspen. On street parking is free and should be very easy since it’s Basalt. Do yourself a favor and make it a point to stop here!

Valerie was amazing and such a nice woman. The mushroom appetizer was delicious and the savory pies are great. Worth a stop. They even seated us right before closing.

We found Heather’s when we first moved to town years ago and it quickly became our absolute favorite spot in the valley. So much so that we hosted our wedding reception there in June and they totally went above and beyond every step of the way. Not only was the whole team amazing, but we still have guests asking us about the food! We feel so lucky to have Heather’s here and can’t wait for many more evenings spent on the patio with live music, a glass of wine, and great food.

Today was an unacceptable experience. After waiting 45 minutes for our food we asked twice for someone to check on our lunch. Both times she said she would but did not. When we saw 4 tables get their food that came after us we went inside and said we were leaving. It had been about 65 minutes. We were told the chicken pot pies was ready and they were plating the burger. So we went back to our table. After sitting there for another 8 minutes, a young man, not our waiter came out and said our waitress had not put in our order. He said a Chicken pot pie was ready. So my husband said being to to my wife and he said it was for a little girl. He said sorry we are just really busy … really. So we left. When we sat down there were a lot of tables open. It did get busy but our order should have already been it. Rene was inside and should have come out himself and addressed us.

Took 45min to get our food, it was 4ish,I had a grilled chicken creaser salad, it was good but for $18 I’d like the brown/red bits of romaine picked out , it didn’t taste that good after that, Nice outdoor seating.

I ordered the vegetarian pot pie and it was awful. The veggies were cooked beyond any recognition and formed a rather disgusting mush in the bottom of the ramekin. A friend had warned me that she had a bad experience with the vegetarian pot pie last winer, but I tried it anyway (only one of two veggie main options on the menu). Big mistake. I upgraded the included salad to the watermelon salad. It too was terrible. The watermelon looked and tasted like it had been cut days ago all 6 tiny, tiny pieces. The service was excellent, prompt and efficient. The live music was piped in at a deafening level into the dining room. However, upon my request it was turned down. I very much appreciated the accommodation so that we could converse in a normal volume. So, the front of the house performed beautifully.

We had heard great things about this restaurant. The chicken pot pie was amazing. We had shared them to save room for the desserts. However, the desserts were terrible. The carrot cake was dried out and almost rock hard. Both the coconut cream pie and the banana cream pie were utterly flavorless, plus the bananas on top were dried out as well. Makes you wonder how long they had been displayed in the pastry case. It’s definitely not worth the $120 we paid

I stopped here while staying in Glenwood Springs. It is well worth driving out of your way! I ate the duck with Parmesan risotto and tried my friend’s chicken pot pie. The flavor profiles of both dishes were complex and well balanced. I have never had grilled grapes and the raspberry sauce over the duck was divine. I took a slice of coconut cream pie to go. It was so creamy with a fantastically salted crust. The crust on the chicken pot pie was so buttery and satisfying. Spend the money, take the drive, eat at Heather’s!

Heathers was wonderful! We had a group of six on the patio. Attentive service, great food, and a good atmosphere (and it’s dog friendly). Would recommend if you’re in Basalt!

I have not had great experiences with American food until this amazing wholesome family-run restaurant. I enjoyed the 4 cheese ravioli as well as the famous Heather’s Pie the second time around. The prices are very reasonable and there is a lot of attentive care put into the food and service. Thank you for making my US trip
