Have always loved this chicken, but my 8 piece order yesterday had FIVE drumsticks, two wings and one thigh. There should be 2 of each, plus 2 breasts, which along with thighs have more meat.

Great food – Staff was friendly. We got thighs, spicy and original. Corn and mashed potatoes. All was great especially those fluffy delicious rolls. Love!

Okay I had to come back to this one. I initially visited this place because of the whole Oprah flying it over deal. I was hyped, but also super full from our trip, and the whole thing felt way too greasy. I ate a piece, called it over hyped but decided to pack it up for later. Best decision I made that day. I got home, and about 24 hours later I gave it another go. It was the most fulfilling bite of fried chicken I had in years! I think either I was just too full the first time or maybe reheating it brought something out… But damn good chicken. Will definitely go back the next time I visit.

After reading about the history and the beef with Ezell’s, I was excited to try out this fried chicken.

Great service, friendly staff. Easily the most authentic southern fried chicken I’ve had here in Seattle.

I am so sadly disappointed in this food. I had such high expectations after hearing Oprah loves it and the commercials look good. But .. honestly, the chicken is dry, very bland, worse than hospital food. Even the spicy chicken has absolutely no spices on it. Any other chicken place is better than this place. I’d rather buy frozen chicken strips and air fry them than this food. Oh! Boxed Mac and Cheese is better than theirs. Their potato salad is soo basic. The only good thing we got from all the food we ordered was the roll, it was warm, soft and sweet. I definitely would tell you to try it, because then you know in the future that you definitely won’t want to go back.

Normally I love coming to heaven sent because it’s the originals Ezelles I grew up on but this time I’m very unhappy.I ordered large spicy chicken strips and and I got these? These are the exact same as small strips which cost less than the large. I love heaven sent but the food was not up to par …. The greens had no meat and weren’t even cooked all the way.. and I’m honestly upset with the prices. I understand a pandemic with supply and demand at all time high things are getting more expensive but this? I ordered two large chicken strips, greens potato salad, mac and cheese, and two cans of soda and the total was 75 dollars. That’s a little extreme to me just for some soul food. The price of soul food here in Seattle just because it’s soul food is literally ridiculous. But imma still eat heaven sent im a huge supporter all day I love their food just not a fan of today.

This has always been one of our family’s go to comfort foods and they never disappoint. The chicken is always delicious, affordable, and fast. However the takeout experience has got even better now that they use compostable packaging. 6/5, would recommend to everyone.

I use to come here all the time. Owner is super nice. But for some reason they always ask me for my ID when ever I use a credit card. And for some reason they never ask for an ID from my co worker when he goes and uses a credit card. It’s really sad reality when certain people in the community is treated differently from others. I will never support a business who continues to discriminate.

Just like the rest of Seattle over the last 40 years, continuing to get worse. I get the pricing issues but not the quality issues. Dried-up chicken, rude customer service, and dirty surroundings. That’s all I have to say about this decade.
