Travellers, Hector’s is a solid dining experience. Everything here was good and the service is with a smile. The restaurant is cheery and it is in downtown Laconia. The corn chowder was good. The Caesar salad was good too. The Italian wedding soup was delicious and so was the fish and chips. We got the sweet potato fries and they were light and crispy. There is also wine and beer on the menu. A nice lunch and worth the stop. Check it out. We recommend.

There was only one other table in the restaurant and it took us 45 minutes to get our order, only to find it cold. When we asked about the menu, the waiter didn’t know about the food and clearly wasn’t going to ask anyone. Food was ok at the end of the day, but not worth the aggravation.

After some antique shopping and walking, we stopped in for a light lunch. Service was quick and friendly. Soup and sandwiches were hot and fresh. Food was tasty and not too salty. Overall a pleasant experience for a fairly inexpensive quick lunch.

Our server Jen was fantastic and made my wife and I feel like royalty coming in for supper. The food was exquisite and even Gordon Ramsay would have to agree the dishes are on point. The atmosphere feels clean and modern in the renovated mill building in the old downtown part of Laconia by the river. A+ for everything here!

Ordered clam chowder and it was luke warm and was not good. Also had bourbon steak tips which had no taste of marinade , all tips were cooked at different stages, some rare,some well done. Fries were average, butternut squash was cold. Not a fan. Save your $$.
