From the minute we walked in to Hefty’s, we felt welcome. The hostess who seated us was incredibly sweet. Our waitress was also phenomenal. Everyone working at Hefty’s is absolutely incredible. I was not only blown away by the people working there, but the food was AMAZING!! We were offered banana bread (complimentary for 2 or more people) which was outstanding. I got the veggie skillet and my husband got the #2 (I think). Our breakfast was so good!! We will definitely return for the wonderful service and phenomenal food!

Hubby and I used to come to this restaurant years ago under different management, then we moved out of Michigan. When we moved back to Michigan, we wanted to revisit one of our fav places. When I called to see if they were opened, the person who answered the phone was so upbeat and friendly, I couldn’t wait to return. When we got to Hefty’s it was then that we found out that it was under new management and Tina was the new owner. She was the person that I spoke with over the phone. And in person, she is just as bubbly. We placed our breakfast order. Things that we had eaten in the past. We were offered banana nut bread with our coffee. OMG!! It was soooo good! Then I found out that it was homemade by Tina. Our breakfast was great. I had Hefty’s breakfast wrap made with egg whites and turkey sausage. Hubby had a veggie omelet, hash browns, turkey patties and blueberry pancakes. I understand that Tina has more help, but while we were there, she was the only person doing waitstaff. It’s a little drive for us to get there. But we will return. And I highly recommended you give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Two months ago I wrote the review below. Today I was back again and ordered two coneys again. This time they were on stale buns. Not good at all. There were three of us, And we all got our meals at different times, and all with stale bread. I’d never go back!

Been there 2 times now in the last 6 months. First time order was I waited on the phone over 6 minutes. They actually forgot about me on the phone AND my order was not correct AND they didn’t give me my soup. 2nd time ordered a carry out on 8-22-22.They forgot my pop and I was almost back to work! Ordered The Texas Burger and they put pickles and tomato on it and the menu LOOKED AT ON LINE DOESN’T say it comes with those two things and they use SHREDDED CHEDDAR not sliced cheese! WHO DOES THAT?! THE ONLINE MENU VERBAGE AND THE RESTAURTANT MENU’S HAVE DIFFERECES WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN REVIEWED BEFORE APPROVING. THIS IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF WHY! I DON’T LOOK AT THE ON LINE MENU THINKING I NEED TO RE-LOOK AT THE IN HOUSE MENU TO SEE IF THERE ARE DISCREPENCIES. They should STATE that on the menu that’s what they use so people can decide and know what to expect. It was terrible. I’m a foodie and I’ve decided as of today I will NEVER go back!! MY FIRST FOOD REVIEW EVER AND I FELT IT WAS VERY DESERVED!!! I WILL CONTINUE TO MY ORG FAVORITE THE HAMBURGER HUT. CONSISTANT, VALUABLE. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DELICIOUS FOOD. SORRY NOT SORRY

The food was great. Fish and fries my son had lemon rice soup and side salad. The salad looked like it was a dinner salad. Crisp clean veggies. The waiter a little slow to start but he did good when he got started.

The pancakes were so good! I don’t eat pork and was happy that offered turkey products as a substitution. They also brought out fresh baked banana nut bread. I’m allergic to bananas but really considered risking my life to taste the bread. It smelled so good lol The overall experience was wonderful and I plan on eating there again if I’m ever in Detroit again

I’ve passed this restaurant many times and finally decided to go in and the food is verrry good they have a variety of food to choose from…not your basic menu and the prices are very reasonable…the waitresses are very friendly and attentive….also the restroom is very clean with HOT water…something most restaurants lack
