There are 5 star meals… and then there are “last meal” meals. This is a “last meal”-worthy meal. Started with a lobster roll – and although expensive – they use high quality lobster meat. The clam strips with old bay seasoned fries were delicious, as well. But the standout is truly their ice cream. Best ice cream I’ve ever had. Got Nutella crunch on top which was just absurd in the best way. SAVE ROOM FOR THE ICE CREAM!

We went for the famous lobster rolls and despite this being nowhere near the sea, we were not disappointed. Fair warning, these rolls are absolute butter bombs, but so, so tasty. It’s probably a thousand calories so we’ll have to be back for the ice cream.

This is one of the many iconic pull off the road eateries dotting the state of CT. The Heibeck’s have been running this stand since the thirties and it shows in the consistency and longevity this roadside stand displays year in and year out. You will find ur standard grease spot fare w/burgers n dogs as well as a plethora of fried dishes. They also have an interesting selection of tacos which I will be reviewing on my next visit along w/the ice cream which I hope is as good as I remember it being. As for what I did have the chicken tenders are phenomenal! Great crispness to them and the breading has real flavor. As for the fries…slightly overrated due to being way too SALTY! But other than that a nice meal out in the back patio is a win win win during the summer days! Def worth it!

The biggest problem with this place, is that they close way too early, and they close the kitchen, even earlier! If they stayed open to a reasonable hour, I would give them 5 stars, but alas, they only het a 3, for now.

If you are expecting a roadside stand that gets by on charm and reputation with mediocre food, you will be very pleasantly surprised. Fast, energetic surface. The black bean burger was crispy and delicious, seemingly homemade, a very far cry from the sad, store-bought, mushy ones usually found at places like this. The lobster roll was reasonably priced, and served in a grilled roll. Also delicious. Fries are great, very generous portions.

For a roadside restaurant, Heibeck’s is a staple in Wilton. It has great ice cream and the food is also a very pleasant surprise. Hot dogs and hamburgers are top notch and they even offer higher end items like lobster rolls.
