Great experience tonight! Our waiter, Jordan, was very friendly, attentive, and did a fantastic job of keeping our drinks full. We lucked out and came in on “kids eat free” night, so that was a bonus.

I don’t like to be that guy but I have to put this one on here. I always loved this spot for its atmosphere and service but certain dishes are just not working. I am a little bit of a chef myself and I can tell you that my Cajun chicken and shrimp pasta would have blown this one out of the water. The shrimp was added extra by me and the actual dish is just a Cajun chicken pasta. My advice would be to maybe remove certain dishes off the menu that might not be these chefs strong suit. There was soooo much grease/oil at the bottom of this plate that I was full with two bites and just couldn’t do the grease anymore. Every bite was like a shot of grease. Take a look at the pictures. Please either have the chefs learn the Basics of this dish or maybe replace with another. Other than that great people and service.

If i had to marry a restaurant, this would be the one i would choose. the original wings here are marvelous. the chickens that these wings come from must be sent from god because i’ve never tasted anything like them. eating them is like seeing a glimpse of heaven. they are so crispy the perfect amount of crispy. and the chicken is cooked perfectly. and the sauce is glorious and brings me true joy whenever it touches my tongue. the fries here are just as good. they are seasoned beautifully and also so crispy but not too crispy. if you order the wings and the fries you also have to get ranch and extra sauce on the side because that’s the right way to do it. the water here is also incredible. i don’t know where it comes from but it tastes like it’s from a fresh glacial stream in northern canada. it cleanses my body when i drink it. this meal is my favorite meal and if i had to eat one meal for the rest of my life this would be it. this would be my last meal on death row. everything about it is crisp. imagine what your dream meal tastes like. this is what you’re imagining.

The place was nice very packed parking lot and and packed inside and out. I assume this is the norm. We were there about a hr and never seen a waitress in my area on the patio. I flagged down another waitress who was working a different section but took on our table of 8. She was amazing and sweet. And for how packed they were her service was great and speedy. Never once seen a waitress in our section all night except for the one i flagged down for our table. We got the nachos with chicken and they were different but good. Made with homemade potato chips they fed 3 adults.

We had an outstanding new waitress, Ashley, on the bar side. We had a group of seven and she went above and beyond to accommodate seating inside vs the patio on this scorching hot night. She was very pleasant and worked hard to accurately get our sometimes difficult order out in a timely manner. We made a lot of special request on food and split checks. She did a great job. I highly recommend Ashley at Helen Fitzgerald’s.

My personal favorite is the Brett’s Conglomeration Pizza! I love it. I also love that kids eat free on Tuesdays. Who knew?! Thanks for giving back to the community. The staff was very kind and professional as well! I give the whole operation from the ground up 5 stars for Class!!!

We had a birthday dinner here for my father-in-law. Everyone loved the food. My mother-in-law raved about the steak with the whiskey glaze, and my wife and I really enjoyed the Cajun chicken pasta. Passing through St. Louis and this restaurant was next to our hotel. We loved it! It was a busy Monday because of hockey, but the place was full and lively and still rocking along just fine. The food was delicious, we had appetizers and entrees. The helpings were generous. Our server Valerie was awesome! The place (she) was busy and she still managed to stay on top of everything we needed. Definitely recommend this restaurant to tourists passing through. Little hometown feel to it 🙂
