We stopped in recently to eat at the reopened Helen’s. They’ve done a good job updating the inside. I had a burger and fries and my wife had the flounder. Both plates had enough food to fill us up without having any leftover food. The taste of our food was good but not great. However, it was good enough for us that we will go back again.

The sandwiches could have been made by 5 year olds. The ham sandwich literally had one slice of ham on toasted bread. Nothing else. Not even the cheese we asked for.

If you are wanting some good warm soul food Helen’s is the place to go. In order to get good food it takes a few mins. Very great price. I can honestly give them a 5 star. Keep up the good work guys. We will return.

Listen. Don’t judge by the outside looks. This little place has some solid food. It’s dinner so please don’t be boujie about it. Now, they had excellent burgers with crispy edges & tater tots were good. Prices are great and they HAVE Sunday hours. We need go here for Breakfast and report back.

We stopped at 2:50 pm for lunch. There were 3 parties already there. Took 40 minutes to receive 2 sandwiches and fries. The reason was because they had “only one cook”. A skilled restaurant cook should have had us served in 15 minutes, 20 max. The man and woman who appeared to be owners did nothing to help in the kitchen, they just questioned the servers as to why another couple was complaining about how long their order was taking. Food was mediocre. My tater tots were over cooked and cold, cheese steak sandwich was barely warm. When we paid the bill, we noticed that the Philly steak sandwiches were priced at $6.00 as stated on the menu. However, when we ordered and I asked the waitress what came on the sandwich, when she listed cheese, peppers, onions, and mushrooms, she did NOT inform us that all of those are at extra cost. Will not go back. I don’t recommend this dinner.
