Delicious food! What a treat in the heart of Georgetown. The food is so fresh that you can literally taste the freshness in every bite. Staff is very friendly and helps you picking out exactly what you like. Many tasty options for vegetarians! Even vegans. Highly recommend checking this place out if you are in town.

A nice spot to grab a decent Indian meal. We really liked the Saag Mushroom and Chana Chat. The naan could’ve spent more time in the oven maybe, but personally I don’t like much butter on naan or chapati. If you’re like me request naan or chapati without butter and you’ll like it.

Great experience at Herbivore. Me and my friends celebrated my birthday here and were so impressed by the decor of this place. The food was served hot and fresh, the service was fast and very friendly. And the prices are very reasonable for Georgetown and the portions are very generous as well.

I spent my birthday weekend with my husband in Washington DC and we came across this place on google and decided to go for it. We found good reviews and 4.8 ratings with the best indian menu. We ordered samosa chat, malai kofta, and garlic naan, and it was too delicious and mouthwatering. The curry quantity is enough for 2 people with complimentary rice. Apart from this, staff is friendly, hospitable and the service was quick. The ambience of the place is also nice for dine in. I would recommend this place for lunch and dinner for dine in to experience the ambience and hot serving.

Great food and environment! We use to order from them back when they were on Massachusetts avenue and were only Carry-out, but they recently moved to Georgetown and included dine-in which was fantastic! We tried the vegetable Biryani and Lamb Curry and enjoyed every bit of it. Highly recommend this place !

We had a very great experience at the Herbivore Indian cuisine. The food was outstanding and lots of pure veggies and Non Veg dishes options. We could taste the home food ( MAMMA ki yad aagaye ) The service was spot on and very attentive. Everything was top of Notch.

Very nice people. Back patio is nice in cooler months. Cashew-based curry, paneer, and vindaloo sauce were as good as I’ve ever had. Chai masala was good. Lamb was ok but limited and a bit tough. I’ve had better mulligatawny soup. I’m just having a hard time with the prices for such little food served on paper plates with plasticware. Tea comes in paper cup. Patio chairs are metal. I know everything costs more now in general, but it just seems overpriced for what your getting. Prices were also higher than advertised.

A cozy place to hang out in the heart of Georgetown. Their chicken curry is hands down the best! And their Chilli paneer is my 2nd favorite. They have street style appetizers too. Definitely one of my go to places for mouth watering comfort food❤️❤️❤️❤️

I have been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got a chance to dine here. It was an amazing experience! We were greeted at the door and decided to sit at the back patio which was beautifully decorated. For the appetizers we tried their vegetable samosas (potatoes and green peas filling) and the palak chaat which is a crispy spinach salad. The appetizers got us even more hungry as it was such a delicious treat. For mains we got the saag paneer, malai kofta, chicken korma, lamb biryani upon the servers suggestion along with their garlic naan. The food here definitely has a very fresh taste to it and every item has a very unique flavor. The ambiance along with the tasty flavors made our experience a very memorable one. The mango lassi is so refreshing and rich. For dessert we tried their carrot pudding(gajar halwa) and kheer (rice pudding). Overall, i could give this place 10 stars if i could!!Highly recommend!
