Great food and the staff was helpful and friendly! Good coffee too. Excellent menu and happy people make Herb’s a standout! Amazing all around! Give one of their homemade breads a try. You won’t be disappointed. I’d definitely be a regular if we lived in the area.

Wow, this is a great little gem of a restaurant. Very busy ,glad I called ahead to put my name on the waitlist. The food was great, the servers are exceptional they all work as a team. We really enjoyed the coffee and asked what brand it was, so Elle ( the owner) came to our table told us the brand. I asked if I could buy some and she sold me a case from her stock. I will be a regular customer here every time we come to Connecticut.. . Highly recommended Herb’s deli.

Had an amazing time here back in November when my Husband and i visited Connecticut for our wedding. He has dined there before and my sister in law Margie and Laurie visit often. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to meet Herb during over visit but maybe next time I will. Reminds me of back home in Delaware. Make sure to stop over to the store next door to the restaurant!

Out of this world breakfast. Super friendly staff, and our food came quick. When we are in the area again, it’s now a must stop! And while you’re there don’t forget to go next door to the general store, it’s so full of unique items to bring home. Thanks for letting us try the sugar plums, they were a sale!

Delicious breakfast in a quaint family diner! Check out the cute country store while you wait – free samples, local meats and desserts, fresh produce, and beautiful flowers. Everyone smiles and says hello here – even the customers. I’m sure the pie is phenomenal, but you won’t have room for it. Try the specials – the peach pecan French toast was the stuff of my dreams.

Authentic little diner with a relaxed, old-school vibe and super friendly service. Excellent food and very generous portions although I found my breakfast sandwich creation to be a little unusual as they scrambled the egg whites, bacon and cheese together, served on two large pieces of whole grain toast. It was very good but at $11.50, quite pricey for a place like this.

What a fun and tasty find. Traveling thru the area and found it on a search. Busy Saturday morning and was seated in less than 5 minutes. The owner is walking around asking if everything is good and chatting. Went way over my calorie plan and ordered the Mac & Cheese omelette. I had never seen that before. Imagine for a minute a light egg wrap around warm and creamy Mac & cheese. So savory and the egg really steps back from the Mac and gives a whole delicious creamy mac and cheese experience. The breakfast plates going by us all looked great and people seemed so happy at their experience. I have to say, I have never seen so many egg bennies being served and they looked amazing. Another unique item was the pastrami hash, I ordered a half order and I’m glad I did. Super yummy. The service was fast and friendly and I look forward to coming back to try lunch soon. Price was very reasonable for the amount of food and great service.
