Here’s Looking at You is an eclectic Los Angeles restaurant, located in Koreatown, heralded for its creativity and genre-defying cuisine. Owners Lien Ta and Chef Jonathan Whitener opened their first restaurant together in 2016. Named a Restaurant of the Year by Food & Wine Magazine and one of Eater National’s 38 Most Essential Restaurants, HLAY was also the subject of author Patric Kuh’s Becoming a Restaurateur. After four magical years as a small independent restaurant, COVID-19 would force its forever closure. But 17 months later, fate would have it that the community would come together to help resurrect this very special restaurant. Thanks to you, Here’s Looking At You is back.
Stylish neighborhood nook for a globally influenced menu & handcrafted cocktails, plus beer & wine. Based on 413 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.6 stars. Price $$$

Had the greatest meal here back in December. Delicious pate, crazy good pork belly, delicious frog legs, and the star of the show: a PBJ cocktail. Too bad they don’t serve it anymore because it’s truly one of the best drinks I’ve ever had.

Very good, very attentive. We had a bigger party so we pre ordered everything. Loved the hamachi- but pretty much all the dishes were good. Get the drinks! Loved my fruity cocktails.

Such an amazing dinner! Everything we tried was delicious and while very different, the flavors of each dish worked both separately and together. Loved the hamachi and the duck confit.

My favorite restaurant in Los Angeles. Three of my all time favorite “there was life before this dish and after this dish” dishes are from HLAY. The frozen pear soda espuma, the tomatoes, and uni panna cotta (holy moly x2000.)

Always a good cocktail and inventive menu items. If you never have eaten frogs legs you will be hooked. Go with a group and try duck pate with plum sauce on bread. Amazing bone on rib eye, pork belly

One of the best 50 restaurant for all USA according to NY Food editors. I say its a quite delicious foods . Congratulations Little loudly and may be expensive and also we believe no need to separate and make it client’s business to let know about “kitchen love”(kitchen tip) in the adission.Still quite successful operation for all. Thank you we had a nice dinner

Simply stunning experience. Every meal and cocktail is a balanced masterpiece, and the service is expert. Elliot made our meal flow perfectly with memorable recommendations and graceful patience with our pickiness on wine temperature. Highly recommend, will be telling all my friends and coming back!
