We had the BBQ schnitzel and the Deutsch schnitzel sandwiches with fries. Everything was delicious. The fries were hard to eat. They looked like the crumbs at the end of a bag. The curry catsup was very good. The service was sub par. You order online which is fine, but very slow! It took 38 minutes from my order email until it was delivered to our table. It was delivered without napkins or utensils. We asked twice and finished most of our meal before we got either. We went early afternoon on a Saturday; they were constant but not busy.

As somebody who lived in Germany (and has a German wife), I can tell you that Herman’s curry wurst is spot on (wife and I both ordered it). It was great. Perfect curry ketchup with great shoestring fries. While I didn’t try it, my son loved the schnitzel sandwich – especially the mustard under the breading.

Okay, the food was great. BUT, we had a hard time finding it because there were no signs. The only signs were for the brew bar, Human Robot. It’s pub food – burgers and fried chicken sandwiches (schnitzel). If you were craving German food, look further. No wait service for the food… order online and it’s delivered to your table. The beer WAS good. But the experience was not what we were expecting.

Please cook the Beyond burger longer. It seems like you’re trying to cook it “medium” like actual beef, but it isn’t heating all the way through. This is the 2nd time I ordered this burger and it came out almost cold. The patty simply is not being left on the grill long enough. It’s an otherwise tasty sandwich that ends up being disappointing. No one wants to pay to eat a lukewarm/almost cold burger. I shouldn’t have to go home to heat it up. Even the cheese should be more melted than it is, but the burger isn’t hot enough to keep it warm so it somewhat solidifies by the time it comes out. That’s really unacceptable for $16.

Herman’s is located inside Human Robot in Jenkintown. They don’t have a window, instead you order via QR code on your phone which is extremely convenient. They bring the food right to your table, usually pretty soon after you’ve ordered. Herman’s makes killer schnitzel and you don’t want to miss their spaetzle with caramelized onions – it’s like mac and cheese but creamier. If your going to Human Robot for a beer, snag some food from Herman’s and enjoy!
