Just got back to the states after being stationed in Japan and was craving a big American burger and OH BOY did they not disappoint! Got the caveman burger with grilled onions and added a fried egg and it was towering! Every bite seemed to be better than the last and when I finished the burger i was faced with a huge portion of their loaded fries which were phenomenal, so much food i ended up having to take it home! The service was great! Incredibly friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and very clean. Worth every penny!

Nice place, extremely friendly staff and a wonderful menu. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it was great! Very messy, as a pulled pork sandwich should be. They even added an extra ingredient that wasnt listed on the menu which was very nice of them. All in all a great place to enjoy lunch.

One of the best food establishments around. They offer a large menu of cold and hot sandwiches, burgers, salads, and more. And its all customizable to your liking. And their fries are amazing. Especially their loaded fries. Always have top quality food and service. Its fast and friendly and they get my order correct. Price is comparible to other places around and they give great portions. Every Time I get their Awesome Turkey Salad… ok, no ITS NOT ON THE MENU, but they do it just as I order it and ITS AWESOME.. I love it that they do custom so DELISHOUS!! DON’T order a burger here! They cook it past well done and it tastes like cardboard. Not a 1/3 lb. Also a burnt bun to go with it. I asked the cook and he said they cook all buns the same, burnt like the one they served me. No offer of replacement or refund.

Chicken tortilla soup was perfect! Very authentic (I lived in Mexico) and just the slight taste of spice. My partner had a delicious sandwich. The store is beautifully patriotic. The guys were the best! Clean, good food ans nice people. What more can you ask for?

On 8/4 I visited the Grants Pass, OR Heroes Café. It was the best sandwich shop experience I’ve had in decades. Two days later, the cravings for more had me seated at the SW Park Ave. location in Portland, OR. I ordered the NY Giant Pastrami Sub (added lettuce and extra pickles). I was blown away by the flavor of this sub – twice over now. I was worried that the experience I had in Grants Pass might not be replicated. Portland nailed it. The pastrami at both locations was sliced thin, and generously served up with the roll barely able to contain the meat as it spilled out! The sandwich came with red onions, dill pickle relish (helz ya), swiss cheese – melted perfectly, and just a hint of dijon mustard on a seasoned hoagie roll that melted in my mouth. Soooo good. I also order some sweat potatoe fries with a side of blue cheese – delicious… golden brown and lightly seasoned with some salt. Perfection!
