Hero’s cheesesteak was so good! I will say the one downside first. The meat needed to be seasoned a little more. Other than that, it was really good. My husband and I split their largest Philly Steak sandwich, a small fries and a drink. The co-owner gave us an extra cup for free. He brought the food out to us personally. When I saw the fries, I thought he had given us an upgrade. Found out later as he chatted with us that they were the small. The large would have been enough to feed a family of four! The sandwich was so large and completely filled with meat that it was spilling out as I ate it. My husband wanted the onions, mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, and Mayonnaise. I just wanted the onions, green pepper, and mushrooms. He didn’t charge us extra and didn’t make it a big deal of making the two halves different. I’m telling you, that sandwich was so good. The bun never got soggy and had amazing flavor. He toasts the bun towards the end of cooking the filling. He said he puts a light garlic butter on the bun, then toasts it. I can’t imagine you would ever be disappointed. They have salads and many different types of sandwiches. The food, the atmosphere, and especially the service were exceptional. We will definitely be back!

We live maybe an hour or so away from this location and was visiting Yorktown and wanted something different that was not in the norm. This place was very nice tucked away in a little strip mall. We all got different food and everything was delicious. We will be returning!
