I now understand why locals rate this overpriced restaurant as no more than average. Seated with a Mothers Day Brunch reservation waiting for service for TEN minutes awaiting a server. The menu was barely readable with its white print on white paper.

The best filet mignon I have ever eaten. The servers are very busy hence the 4 star rating. They did give us champagne in a glass for Kimberlee’s birthday. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would recommend the HEW Chophouse to anyone.

What a nice place! People were very friendly, everyone wore masks, it was clean and welcoming! Food at the restaurant was very good, Tomahawk steak was our favorite, perfectly cooked and presented! Flat bread and meatballs as appetizers were also delicious!! Boys enjoyed Old Fashion cocktails, my girlfriend and I really liked MC Queen cocktail.

So here’s the deal. We have been for dinner and it was okay. BUT: BREAKFAST. This is where Hew really shines because I kid you not: it is the BEST BRUCH IN DUNEDIN. The menu has a new orleans/French creole twist. I ordered the madam croquette duck confit – absolutely delicious and decadent. A big, big hit was the French toast with this incredibly unique orange tasting cream inside with an orange flavored maple syrup that was the best French toast any of us had ever had. Someone got the wagyu which they loved too. And honestly even the coffee was great. There wasn’t a single thing on the table that we didn’t like and the portions were very generous. My husband and I have found our new breakfast place.

We went here for dinner the 1st time on Fri. 5/26/23 & were THRILLED w/ our dinners! Prompt, friendly service followed by the best fillet I’ve EVER had in a restaurant, including amazing fancy mac n cheese! My husband had fish and my friend had lamb, and all 3 of us were VERY impressed w/ the DELICIOUS food! Nice job!

Customer service not good at all. The place was cute outside but not that great inside. Starting from the chairs and tables, the tables would be good to have a cover, utensils placed on the napkins not directly on the table, it looked so cheap. The chairs were so old. The menu was so small, and not that many varieties. Customer service, she almost dropped the plates when collecting them afterwards. She kept asking to collect empty plates. This is not good it gives you the impression that they are rushing you for you to leave. We came to celebrate a birthday and we wanted to enjoy, not rushing. The place was not that busy that they needed the table or anything. Anyway This was my first and probably last time coming here.
