I wouldn’t call it a 5 star restaurant but it was better than 4 stars. So, we will say 4.5. My wife’s steak was amazing. Her baked potato was good but the onion rings left quite a bit to be desired. I had the chicken fried steak and it was one of the better ones that I’ve had in awhile. The veggies were really good as well.

$3 coffee is becoming the standard these days. Fortunately the coffee lives up to the price. The Corned Beef Hash and eggs with diced potatoes was good. Not quite great, I think if the potatoes had seasoning or felt more fresh than frozen, I would have gone 5 stars. It’s a simple interior, clean, and well taken care of. The service was great and friendly if not a bit quite for a Grill or cafe. Overall, a good experience and I will come back my next time in Glen Rose.

Food was good but service wasn’t worth the other issues. Took a while to be greeted, even longer to order drinks and than to order food. Waitress was not attentive at all. We had to ask someone walking by for drink refills.

Came to Glen Rose for a marching band competition. My favorite place is temporary closed, so we decided to try this place. I ordered the cranberry pecan chicken salad sandwich… It was delicious. The sweet potato fries were finger licking good. The service was pleasant. I didn’t give it a 5 star because I bit into a piece of pecan shell and it hurt a lot. Also, the decor is extremely boring. My husband had a hamburger and gave it 4 out of 5.

I ordered the catfish special. I have written reviews from restaurants all over Texas. Pros: waitstaff was great, attentive, and friendly. CONS: Got my order, the fish was ok and not hot. The fries were cold!! The corn was a little warm. The mushrooms were the only thing that was hot and they were ok. I would of gave it a 1 star but the service was good. I saw others post some good reviews. This rating was from my experience and base on the food I ordered only. Does not reflect the whole restaurant as a whole.

Wait staff was really nice. I had lunch with a friend and we both decided on breakfast food. She said her omelette and homefries were good. I had the Migas. They were terrible. I’m not picky and I can finish most things, but these were not edible. I’m not sure what they did to them. It was like left over eggs that were microwaved and then a bunch of tortilla strips on top to cover up the mess. I also ordered a pancake, also terrible. I was disappointed because the menu looked great and I really wanted to like the place

Had a delicious breakfast burrito at 8am on Saturday. Granddaughter had ham and cheese omlet which was excellent. Server was very friendly and responsive. Food was fresh and hot. When we began, there were only 2 tables occupied. At the end of our meal, there were 5 occupied. Still plenty of room. They did offer a veterans discount.
