Been hearing about these burgers for years. Took a long lunch break and decided instead of take out, we would take it all in. The staff was so friendly and the Aussie burger, add bacon, onions rings and fries we had were delicious. I will be back. Almost forgot the amazing Red Velvet cookie I got for a snack later. Yum!

Hi-Mountain Burgers & Shakes is a cute little gem. Saturday afternoon around 1 o’clock was pretty busy. We waited about 10 minutes in line to order & about 30 mins for our food. It has limited seating so our group of 8 had to sit separately. We tried a cheeseburger, aussie burger, kids chicken fingers, homemade scone, fries & strawberry shake. Food was good. It was a fun adventure driving out to try it. If I was a local, I would eat probably eat here regularly. It was worth the trip.

The building and furnishings were great, exactly what you’d expect in a small town eatery. That’s about where the positives ended. My family ordered just two milkshakes and we waited 30 minutes before we finally got them. Another family in our group ordered some milk shakes and asked for caramel on the side and it came on top. The shakes tasted great, I just wish it didn’t take half an hour to get them.

Absolutely perfect for what it is–a funky burger joint in a tiny town. It’s also the best place to stop for lunch or dinner on the way home from backpacking the Uintas! Burgers were juicy and delicious, the fries were fresh and yummy, and the shakes were good (there are SO many flavors). Service was a little slow so not a good place to come if you’re in a hurry, but still a great spot for a burger and shake!

My daughter had rode by motorcycle over Wolf Creek pass from Vernal. Well worth the drive for awesome food and shakes. The service is just as awesome too!

The burgers, 1/3 lb, are very good. The fries are fantastic. This is an iconic place at the gateway to the Uintas. The restaurant itself badly needs an overhaul, and the prices are on the high side imo. It was $14.00 at the time of writing for a basic cheeseburger combo. They do have a kids menu (about $8). They also have really good shakes. I recommend it if you are in the area. They have abandoned the sit-down / server model for a counter order system since the last time I went. It was very busy when we went but that was expected on a Saturday in the Summer.

Love Hi-Mountain! Our go-to every time we hit the Uintas. Nothing better than an awesome burger, fries, and shake. I wish they kept the building a little cooler, but it’s still completely worth it.

I love fresh cut fries, today they were a little lack luster….a whole basket of fries at least 1 inch long. The kind you usually throw away not serve. The sandwich was very good. Just hoping for wonderful fries to match the sandwich.

We stopped here on our way out of Kamas. We showed up about 15 min to 8. You could tell they were a little annoyed that we showed up then. When I said we might dine in it was almost a disgusted look. They we’re super nice though and I can totally understand. Luckily we weren’t dining in and just getting shakes to go. The shakes were good and big. Everyone in my family love the shakes they got. We got a strawberry, peanut butter, and 2 chocolate shakes. Then 2 one scoop ice creams which were rainbow sherbet and rocky road. We will def stop by again.
