Folks! What an unbelievable find along the historic Route 66! Just a stones throw off the hustle and bustle of interstate 44 & Will Rogers turnpike you’ll find this iconic American treasure… a time capsule if you will. As you pull on to the property, gone are the days of social media & smartphones! (As I ironically share this review on Google ) while you’re cruising down Route 66 racking up the smiles over the miles, Open up the Atlas and find Hi-Way Cafe! This place will not only top off your flavor palette of American comfort food; your eyes will gaze from one wall to the other and the ceiling to the floor! Right away you will find that attention to detail and preserving the past isn’t as much of a relic as you think. Bring your family and tell your friends! In today’s world we need to support small businesses and American made! You’re not going to find this dotted along the interstate but on the back roads of America!! You can only find this here on the good old route 66 – Vinita Ok!!!

We just so happened to end our route 66 trip here at their mural and was lucky enough to meet the owner. She was really kind and gave us a private tour. We didn’t eat but we plan on coming to eat. Great little route 66 place. Lots of character and charm.

We went two weeks in a row. The first time, the food was really good. The second time, my mom ordered the loaded baked potato, and it had like a teaspoon of taco meat in it, a pinch of cheese,a dollop or sour cream, and ..it was supposed to have bacon bits, but clueless is n those!! Needless to say, it was very disappointing. I don’t know if we’ll return.

It is the only place that is open in this town on a Sunday so it is very busy. Service is smooth and efficient for the most part, though. They messed up our order a bit, but it was too busy to stop someone to tell them. The food was good. Mashed potatoes a little too firm for my liking.

Been eating here since 1978 and still enjoying it. Always make time to get by here. Just plain good food in good amounts. Friendly service with an affordable cup of coffee.
