This is the absolute best restaurant for barbecue in the city of Dayton. Over 60 years family owned with outstanding old fashioned customer service for the new millinemum. Ashley moves like a ballerina while making drinks,, its truly poetry in motion,and Jennifer was fast, courteous, fabulous and attentive. The owner was even present mingling with the guest, great friendly guy.. This was my first visit so if your looking for great barbecue with the best vibe, do check them out.. Today is November 18, 2022 I had a very long day lost a loved one and decided to step out and get a drink, lo and behold Ms. Ally her customer service is impeccable, her attention to detail is unmatched whomever hired her made an excellent decision. She has been a joy, When you visit ask for Ms. Ally you won’t be disappointed especially if your looking for great customer service. Thank you Ms. Ally for brightening such a hard day for me. Went there for a late lunch today not expecting good service because we rarely get that. Someone who has been in the service industry for over 20 years I can say we had the sweetest server today and made it such a great experience. Small, cozy restaurant with limited seating so expect a wait. My husband had the ribs and I had the BBQ chicken. Both were very good but be aware that the BBQ sauce is definitely vinegar based. A bread basket is also given with several kinds of bread. The highlight of the meal…the house dressing on the salad! So delicious! Free parking in a lot next door.

I had my birthday party there and had a party of 8. I wanted to have my birthday party there for the amazing food and amazing service. I even hyped up the food to my friends, but unfortunately, it was one of the worst steaks I’ve ever had from there. There was no seasoning and very bland, and my steak was not cooked correctly, and it was the same for both of my friends. Even my fathers ribs were very dry and burnt . Now don’t get me wrong, I love old hickory we’ve been coming for years but I was very disappointed that day in the food.
