The K Green Show
Hickory and Oak is an excellent upscale restaurant in Bowling Green. The servers are nice, the drinks are good, decent selection of beers, and the food is outstanding. Be prepared to leave at the minimum, $100 lighter for your dinner for two. Sides are made for sharing. I highly recommend this place.

I’ve been to Hickory & Oak many times but have never given a review. I would count Hickory & Oak as one of my favorite places in Bowling Green. Tonight my group went for the $25 Sirloin special. We also bought the gouda Mac and cheese as well as the country ham and pimento cheese wontons.

Cody, our waiter was top-notch, attentive, on point, had great recommendations, great personality. The bone marrow bay scallops came out flat in flavor, but cody suggested we add some JQ Dickinson smoked salt, it punched that dish right up to were it needed to be! I could write a page on JQ Dickinson Salts. The 90-day dry aged rib eye cooked to perfection. The coffee rub carrots with goat cheese and honey chili were the show stopper, main event, big time player! Beer and drink menu great. (Country boy Imperial stout)The desert was so good we forced it down, we didnt want it but cody convinced us when he said they are the best blueberrieshe has ever had! Definitely will be returning.

Very good place, highly recommended in town. So I decided to go there with a couple of company colleagues. And it was definitely worth it. First we had some starters (shrimps with garlic and tomato sauce) and then we took some special meals of the day. Some colleagues had a tuna (they said it was delicious!) and I picked a WAGYU ribeye steak with some nice plums and mushroom sauce. And it was really great. Not that tender as a filet, but I liked it. Even though the steak was a pretty big piece if need, I got convinced by a waiter to try some dessert. I took some special one of the day with dark chocolate and tarta crust. And it was AWESOME!! Sweet and bitter at the same time. Really delicious dessert!!

An absolutely wonderful restaurant with some amazing food! It’s a classy place to enjoy a great dinner and have a couple of drinks with friends. Their menu has something for everyone and the portions are huge and good for sharing. You’ll find the chef’s creations are delectable and will have you coming back.

This was my first time dining at Hickory and Oak and will not be my last. I came here for a nice supper with my wife and son. The reservations were a little tough to get last minute, same day, but they did accommodate me. As we arrived the hostess was very attentive and pleasant. We were seated and Cody was our waiter. Cody was very personable, knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating to our needs. One of the reasons we chose this restaurant was because of the menu. The menu has a great selection without overdoing it and has a good specials menu. The food was absolutely amazing, we each had ordered steak but different steaks and each steak was cooked to our liking. The seasoning was spot on, not over seasoned and left the flavor of the meat intact. We had ordered several appetizers and one side all of which tasted just as good as expected. The atmosphere at this restaurant was very pleasing and calming. I feel like I could go on and on about every aspect of the food, drinks, and service but it would take quite some time. I highly recommend trying Hickory and Oak and I look forward to my next meal there.

Let me preface this review by saying I’m not a big steak lover, but we visited for a date night, as we had a gift card. I could come here and just order apps, sides and dessert! The steak was good, but the sides were HUGE and there were so many good options. Same for the desserts.

Best food in bowling green hands down. I got the sea bass with risotto and it was AMAZING! Also, the Brussels sprouts?? Mouth watering. Bill and Kayla are one of the most personable servers I’ve ever encountered. Next time I’m up in Kentucky I will definitely have to come back.

Do not go if it is busy. We have gone before and it was not bad but there was no excuse for tonight. My wife wanted to eat here for our anniversary, celebrating 5 years. Honestly after what we were served I would have rather eaten at Wendy’s.
