This is a landmark in PW. If you grew up here, this was one of spots to hit during lunch or after school and 10yrs later the food and taste has been consistent. The prices have gone up, but you can’t blame the owner for that. Personally, it doesn’t bother me because the quality of the food is always consistent. My personal favorite is the half roasted chicken with fries, salad and hot sauce. Keep up the great work!

There aren’t many choices in Port Washington for a quick bite besides delis and pizza. BUT that isn’t the only reason to go to Hickory’s. The BBQ here is amazing! Food is always fresh and made to order. Even though I could pick a different winner every time I go there, my favorites are the super burrito if I’m eating there, or their original chicken sandwich and fries if I’m taking it with me

I absolutely love this place. They have the best ribs I have ever had in my entire life. The ribs just rip apart so beautifully and the bbq sauce that they use it’s just out of this world. It is hard to describe the flavor of it but it’s amazing. The prices are worth what you’re getting. I love the atmosphere of this place, the workers are nice and greeting, I would recommend this place to anyone going

I walked in hickory bbq grill in port Washington and i was stunned. I was amazed by the flavor of the beef brisket sandwich. They sauce was top tier. Fresh and hot. Tender meat. This restaurant is a gem!!! If you want authentic barbecue run to hickory’s bbq grill in port Washington. The service is exemplary!! Fast and friendly even though i wasn’t in the best of moods the young man there made me very happy.

Looking to try something new and decided on bbq without having to travel to the Bronx. The platters are good for two people so I ordered a combination of platters to feed 6 adults, which allowed me to sample the chicken, pulled pork, and ribs. I also ordered sides of chicken wings, sweet potato fries, and zucchini fries with cucumber dip. Two of the platters came with fries and cole slaw. I forgot which. One platter came with corn bread, which was not my favorite. The sweet potato fries were mediocre. Maybe better for dine-in option. The French fries were good and thick. The zucchini fries had a lot of breading for my taste but the cucumber dip was good. I used it for the chicken wings as well. The wings were dry by the time I got to eat them though. The ribs were great! Probably the best bbq meat. The 1/2 chicken was good. Wasn’t dried out. The pulled pork was good too. Will definitely try the fish taco next time.
