We purchase roasted duck and roasted pork here before. It was great. This review is for the recent purchase; the meat was old and roasted but it does not make the old meat taste go away. We ended up throwing out all the meat and only eat the veggie we stir fried with.

Very good Chinese BBQ in the Dallas area. The roast pork was juicy and the skin was crunchy. Prices are reasonable considering how much some places have raised theirs. As a heads up, don’t be shy about making sure what you order is what actually gets placed in the to-go box.

The meat was old and did not taste good. We ended up throwing all of it away. I asked for 5 lbs of roasted pork, the owner went ahead and stuffed 6.5 lbs in the boxes. It sold by the pound. But I guess it makes sense now, they were trying to sell all the old meat to us.

I bought 2lbs of roasted pork a month ago and found out when I got home that it was mixed with old meat which was burnt, dry and chewy. It was so disappointed. The place where they cut the roasted pork that I chose into small pieces was all covered so I couldn’t see what they did. If you decide to buy here, I would recommend you choose the whole piece that you want and cut it into small piece’s at home yourself rather than let them cut and mix it with old meat. For me, I will never come back.

Love this place! They have the best Chinese BBQ of all DFW. There are people who come 1-2hrs out of town just to buy their BBQ. I’m literally always buying their Chinese BBQ pork, crispy pork, and roast duck. They’re always generous with giving extra sauce whenever I ask and they also help cut the meat pieces smaller and thinner when requested.

Finally able to catch these guys when they are open to try their BBQ. Came here around noon on a Saturday and all their meats were hanging on the rack. Now super exited, I couldn’t help my self so I ordered some roasted pork, roast duck and BBQ pork aka Xa Xiu. Just for FYI, you can’t sit down and eat in here, you have to buy it by the pound and take it home. As the meats are being chopped up and prepared to go, I noticed that they also sell other snacks such as sweet buns, egg rolls, and related Asian groceries that I didn’t bother to look at because I was eyeing their BBQ meats the whole time. A quick look at their prices (see attached) is about the same as other places however, the main difference is the older grandfather behind the counter preparing the meats is super nice and friendly. Anyways enough small talk, the BBQ meats here are amazing. GOLLY, the pork and duck were so damn good that I just couldn’t stop eating it. Both the pork and duck were tender and juicy. The skin on the roast pork was amazingly crispy and the duck was just outstanding. Maybe, I’m exaggerating a bit but it was how I felt when I tried it and I’m sure you will feel the same too. Hiep Phong is a bit away from where I live but I don’t care, I will be a regular here.

Good for those who left good reviews, may be family/friends. For me and my family, we keep getting some old meat mixed in with the ribs roasted pork that we pointed out specifically. They have a drawer below the cutting board and there was one time we saw him pulled out something and next thing we knew, the roasted pork container contained something that didn’t belong to the ribs area that we pointed out. Very dishonest. We stopped going there.

This has become my favorite place to get Chinese roast pork, roast duck, or char shiu. They’re the best in the Dallas area that I know of. I’ve been swinging by this place for the past year. The man who dispenses the meat appears to be the master.

The bbq pork and duck were delicious! Very fresh. The reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because when we asked for a certain amount (mom ordered 3 lbs, and I ordered 1.5) the gentleman said okay but put WAY more on. Her pork ended up being over $52.00 and mine was $50. Price is listed as $11.99/lb. I told him I wanted less in my box but he just kept putting more in and wouldn’t listen. It was definitely worth the price, but it was A LOT of pork. I would come here and get more when I’m back in TX. It does get a little chaotic, people just come in and there’s no structure for lines. The parking lot is also hectic, it isn’t very big at all.
