Every time headed through here I stop and eat. Was here on a Friday night. We had buffet for $11.99. Chicken fried steak and all the fixins you can think about. All home cooked and excellent.

Wife & I were driving south on Hwy 6 Sunday after Thanksgiving & reached DeLeon about 11:30. Hwy 6 Cafe parking lot was filling up, so we found a slot near the highway.

If you’re new to this town and Mexican, DO NOT visit this restaurant. My family and I stopped here, wanting to support local business. We were not even greeted or welcomed, but every person who came in after us was received with a warm hello. Of course, they were all obviously regulars and they also happened to be white. The food was mediocre, the coffee was terrible. I will not ever visit again and I highly discourage anyone who isn’t a regular or white from visiting this place.

Did not care for the food. It was OK, as in it was edible, but not good. Eating at a fast food place would have been better. In fairness we did get the buffet that was offered and we visited at an off time and day. Atmosphere of the place and friendliness of the woman working were good.
