Went here for my early birthday last year, and the best experience I ever had, fresh high quality ingredients, well worth the price.

Wow! Excellent! You just have to trust me. It’s Omakase so if your want rolls and spicy tuna with everything, this place is not for you. If you have a developed palette and are up for an orchestrated meal with ingredients from locally sourced seafood to Spanish trout roe then this place will not disappoint. Great service too. The staff was very attentive. The owner was slightly joking about a Michelin star. I think if they cleaned up the decor and the bathroom they could get a star. I say this not as a slam on HIhimaru because it’s has an eclectic decor and the bathroom are clean. But not up to Michelin standards. We will definitely make a reservation to eat there again when we go back in November. Reservations only and two services a day. 5:30 and 7:30 don’t be late.

One of thee BEST sushi spots in all of Hawaii hands down. Impeccable service, the chef’s are awesome, and the dishes can’t get any better. It is omakase style, just to give you a heads up. but even if you’re not into sushi, I’d definitely still give it a go! Too good to miss out on.

Ingredients so fresh they still move on your plate! Kidding, they don’t move but are fresh flown in and never frozen. Creative and artful presentation, beautiful pieces that melt in your mouth. Loved every single piece, one of the best Omakases out there.

This place is absolutely amazing! My friend introduced me this afternoon and I can’t even remember the last time I ate so well. Crazy inviting, the coolest owner, chef, host, etc… They truly encompass everything Hawai’i and everything that is an authentic sushi experience. A must, must, absolute must try.

My first omakase experience ever. It was really yummy and pretty fun. Try to get there earlier to be seated in front of the main chef, so you can watch him prepare your food. The main chef is a pretty chill dude, but his humor is pretty satirical so be prepared for that if you do engage in small talk.

Exceptional ingredients artfully constructed. The chef has 22 years of experience – most of it acquired in Japan – but he’s not too bound by tradition. Quality comes at a price though. Omakase seatings must be reserved. They have one seating at 5:30 and another at 8. The second seating is longer.

Easily a Michelin-tier experience here, on par w/ top omakase spots anywhere. Fish is imported fresh from Japan, quality is excellent as expected. Chef Ray is a cool dude, funny and kept it real. Knife skills and dish presentation both A+. It was apparent that he is highly dedicated to the craft. I wish him great success and would definitely recommend trying this place.
