First time patron, heard good things about Hilda’s. Ordered the pork chop sandwich and the corn pudding. The food was exceptionally hot, always a good start. Portions were nice; you receive 2 bone-in pork chops. They are not overly thick, but they really don’t need to be. Extremely juicy, seasoned well, although it could have been seasoned a little lighter, and still been good. I would like a little more crunch on the exterior, but that is a personal preference, not an indictment. The corn pudding reminds me a little bit like bread pudding. It was flavored well; I just wasn’t a fan of the texture. I will admit that I snacked on it a little, because of the corn. Just wish the texture was a bit more firm. Customer service was outstanding. I am interested in seeing them grow. I recommend trying them at least once.

I went here for the first time the other day and all of the FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and very affordable. The moment I walked in her shop I smelled the Greens! I love the fact it still tastes amazing without toouch seasoning! I’ll definitely be returning! Hands down the best soul food restaurant I’ve tasted so far in Pittsburgh area!

This place has really good food it’s all made to order so might have a wait 20-30 minutes, but well worth it. The owners are really nice and would recommend going there and checking it out. They only do take out.

Chicken wasn’t done enough,the fish not alot of flavor. Also didn’t have enough wings for a meal. Had to buy what you don’t want to get one wing for 2.50. Never again. Best way to eat good Soul food is to cook it yourself.
