Great champagne brunch spot! Food is good, the service is always great! It’s usually busy but not too busy! Outside patio area is very relaxing!

I had an amazing experience at Hill Street Cafe! The food was delicious, and I loved the bottomless mimosas. The home-style vibe with a cool twist added to the charm. This is now my go-to brunch spot, and I’ll be coming back every weekend. Highly recommended!

It’s hard to rate the food when I ordered a very basic/simple breakfast. 2 poached eggs with turkey bacon and wheat toast. Everything was good and my brother in law said the corned beef hash is the best he’s ever had. Leo was our server and he was helpful with suggestions and all of our requests. Will definitely dine again, especially since it’s walking distance from my house!

Okay so I’ve heard good things about this place. Really good things. And I was super excited to try it last weekend. Unfortunately my experience was pretty bad. I was VERY unimpressed by the food. I got the chile verde omelette with hash browns. I’m not sure if it’s typical for this place but my omelette was definitely more of a scramble than an omelet, and the eggs were still very wet, which I cannot stand. The very few chunks of pork that I had in it were just fat globules with pretty much no meat on it and I wouldn’t touch them. The flavor was kind of lacking as well. I asked for the hash browns crispy. It seemed more like they were burnt on the outside and barely cooked on the inside. I was also surprised by what a small portion it was. I’m not the kind of person to just give up on a place after one bad experience, so I will be giving it one more chance. But if my food isn’t great next time either, then I won’t be going back. This bums me out because I really wanted to love this place!

Have been going there for years. Keep trying to make it a great experience but for one reason or another they just don’t meet the expectations of the ole Hill. St. Today was the last time. Our waitress was more interested in staring out the window at dinner time then making sure customers have what they need. The place was almost empty and I can remember it being standing room only. Does that tell you anything. I won’t be back. Sorry but not worth my tine and money.

Service is amazing, food is amazing, the place is amazing, the coffee is great, my only issue is probably the most expensive breakfast place in Ventura county, ♂️

Middle Sunday hours, my 1st time dining here. From out of town, KC, Mo. Visiting family that lives in the neighborhood. I had the combo breakfast very delicious. My young waiter was very friendly and curtious. Also coming back to the table to see what we needed. Other servers made sure we had what we needed also. Fresh coffee, plenty napkins. Kid friendly. I would to have dinner there before I go back home. Thank you Hill Street Cafe for your wonderful service. ❤️

Honestly we went on Father’s day & had every intention of eating at the restaurant but with how busy it was and a 2 year old who couldn’t sit still we opted for take out which was still just as delicious. It was prepared quickly and we made it home in time to enjoy it warm; we do live right across the street so keep that in mind too. Even though it was packed you could tell everyone was being attended to and seemed happy with their food. There was a tiny hiccup in our order so we actually ended up with a free piece of chocolate cake which was yummy and enjoyed by us all. We’re happy with the new owners and can’t wait to go back to enjoy bottomless drinks!
