The food was excellent and the service was phenomenal! The staff has a wonderful sense of humor and was very willing to accommodate our group of 9 people. We all tried the brisket, ribs, fried okra, fish fry, sweet potato fries and home brewed sweet tea. We always try local BBQ when we travel but this is one of the best we’ve had in the country. I would definitely come back and recommend to all!

Lots of choices on the menu and fun decor. I ate here twice while in Clinton and the food and service were great both times. Great BBQ with different choices of sauce. The pork tenderloin sandwich was big and the sweet potato fries were the best I’ve had. Looking forward to going back again next year!

Pulled pork sandwich was really good and the different sauces were fun. To me, a real BBQ joint has fried okra, and there’s is delicious. Top it off with brewed iced tea and really friendly service and you have a winner.

It was our first time eating at Hillbilly Jack’s. Don’t know what took us so long to finally get in there & check it out ?!?! Our server was super friendly & very attentive. The Friday Fish special brought my husband back to his childhood memories of Fish fries once held at the Savanna Army Depot Sportsmans Club !! So major bonus 😀

Neat little restaurant our waitress was nice and friendly! But it does not matter about any of them things when the food is horrible! The breaded tenderloin was the best thing ordered at our table of 4!! That is a shame when it’s supposed to be a BBQ restaurant! O yea the chocolate chip cookies was pretty good!

Great atmosphere with lots of fun antique kitsch. Very clean and the service was excellent. (Thanks Barb for taking good care of us!) The brisket was tender and moist. The sweet potatoe fries were the perfect balance of crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. My favorite part was the selection of barbeque sauces we got to sample. We sampled 9 different varieties from the classic honey bbq to the more exotic flavours such as hot blueberry and watermelon.

Cant say anything about their food, it never came to table. Stopped in on Sunday afternoon Dec 7th, there were about 7 tables were full not a packed restaurant at all, it took 10 minutes for someone to seat us, about another 10 minutes to take a drink order i ordered a Coke and my wife ordered a Root beer we received 2 waters i pointed out to the waitress and she said the drinks would be right out, we ordered a brisket nachos as a starter and waitress said she would take our order when nachos came out, 15 minutes after we ordered nachos she brought out plates and silverware she told us nachos be right out at that point i asked about our drinks she said there coming, i kid you not 15 minutes later still no nachos and no drinks, the family behind us stopped the waitress and said we have been waiting over an hour for our order is it coming out soon she said i will check soon, then she came to our table and told us nachos on there way out, i asked again about the drinks she said the other waitress is working on it, so the other waitress came over empty handed and asked if we were ready to order a starter or a dinner, i told her we already ordered a starter and waiting over 35 minutes for it already and never received our drinks, she said the other waitress will get them i got an order up to bring out, after total of 50 minutes after we ordered the nachos we had no drinks and no nachos wasted well over an hour in this joke of a BBQ joint, i know sometimes things get hairy in restaurants but no sorry this is taking so long, no sorry’s for forgetting your drinks, i know we were not the only people unhappy there that day. My wife and I eat all over the QCA area trying new things and have never had such a bad experience in our 15 years together

Just went in to have dinner and we waited to be seated for 5 minutes with no acknowledgement from the staff. We saw multiple staff members and nothing. They acknowledged the 2 people in front of us but did not seat them in the 5 minutes we were there. Ridiculous that neither party was seated when there were tables without customers sitting at them. Unacceptable service, horrible impression for a first time patron.
