The food is alright. I’ve ordered from their twice but the second time made me decide not to order from them anymore. I ordered a fish dinner with macaroni salad & cabbage through door dash. I called in specifically ordered a beverage and Tarter Sauce. The gentleman that answered the phone was short, and rushed me off the phone. Then he sent me no beverage, no condiments, and potato salad which I don’t like. I rather spend my money where people actually listen to their customers

The food was so delicious! Very close to authentic soul food ! Prices for steak dinner on point the chicken dinner they could have used leg and quarters instead of wings for the price of meal but the food was very good prices seemed on point for quality im definitely gonna put this as my go to place ! New Haven has a gem . The cakes are good idea but they need extra work on them the cakes are not horrible but they can do more

heard about this spot from my sister and wanted to try.. i’m glad i did! i ordered the fish platter with mac & cheese and greens. i got a side of fries as well to give to my niece. the fish is a little too salty for me but that’s only because i have a low tolerance for it but can’t deny it’s seasoned. the sides though! that mac and cheese with the greens was so good! love the tartar sauce too!

The food wasn’t good and this was my first time eating there I searched for soul food and this place Hill’s came up so I ordered fried chicken dinner with collard greens Mac and cheese with yams For us to eat on our drive to the city. We would have stopped at our favorite place SOUL BOWL IN HARTFORD but they were closed. Hill’s was a bad first impression the chicken was tasteless the mac was mushy that it looked like mashed potatoes the collard greens were ok as well as the yam. This is a place that I will not recommend or eat at again

I really didn’t want to read it because the food was terrible. I have my grandchildren pick me up a plate cause I heard about this place. I should’ve kept my money the macaroni and cheese. You should’ve called a potato salad and cheese. The chicken had no seasoning just fried chicken terrible will never eat there again waste of my money.

First bite and I’m hooked. I woke up craving soul food and it was too late in the day to cook it.I ordered ribs, baked Mac and cheese, yams, cabbage, steak and cheese egg rolls, and banana pudding. With Extra sides. Everything is so fresh. I’m 15 minutes away and it was still hot by the time I got home to eat it. Me and my baby are so happy right now. Y’all have no idea. DON’T SECOND GUESS IT. JUST GO GET YOU SOME. It’s well worth it. Will be a regular here. ❤️❤️
