Decent restaurant for Indian food in Berkeley. Ordered Veg Steamed Momo’s and Dal Tadka. The Momo’s were good, but the dal Tadka was average. Service is good.

Himalayan Flavors is located on University Ave in Berkeley. There are several street parking spots in front of the restaurant, and there is a small parking lot located next to the restaurant. The food is really tasty with distinct spices (similar to Indian dishes) and there are plenty options to choose from. The chicken Momo is delicious. Service is very friendly and fast. We would eat here again.

General ambiance, good restaurant. No overbearing smells and friendly staff. The veggie pakoras were absolutely terrific! Perfect amount of crispy and veggies. Veggie korma was also another highlight. Less than stellar was the dessert (doughnut ball description is not what you’d expect – it’s not a ‘puff’ instead it’s bread that’s been sitting in syrup all day). Also, the paratha was very thick and heavy – unlike any paratha we’ve had before. The veggie Momo’s (essentially their take on potstickers), were nothing to write home on though. My friend really liked his lamb Momo’s though. Overall we had a fun time with friends and had some house wine – which was also not bad for being house! I would go back for the korma, pakoras and house wine.

I grew up eating my grandma’s curry. She took a boat to Guyana from India when she was a teenager. Same as her future husband. The food here is just as good as hers. Absolutely loved it.

A nice place to have curries and handmade bread. The Chicken Tikka Marsala is delicious, as is the Mango Yogurt drink. Had a nice meal there!

Great place with amazing food. I like the naan here. Recent change in management has downgrade their service little bit compared to old owner-but they are serving authentic food with their new style. Loved it. Best of luck guys.

We weren’t sure what to expect since there was only one other party eating on a Thursday night, but we were wowed by the delicious food! There was not a mediocre dish among the seven different entrees and appetizers that we got. Flavors were rich and delicious, and vegetables were cooked perfectly. The space is a bit cold and quiet, but it was a very enjoyable dinner food-wise.
