We’ve been trying all of the Indian places around greater SD lately, and, usually, each one is great at something but lacks in another regard. They’ll have good food but small portions or good service but bad pricing. Himalayan Palace has attentive waiters, extremely reasonable prices (particularly for their lunch special), great portion sizes, and phenomenal food. This is a hidden, and underrated, gem; go eat here.

Great service. The food was delicious. My children can be picky with their food but we ordered off the lunch special and they all finished their plates. The portion was great as well.

We came on Christmas Day observed. It wasn’t our first choice. It was the only one opened after checking out three other locations in the area. So we’re thankful that this place opened and the food was pretty good. Just wished their spice level matched their hotness.

This place is A-MAAAAAZING!! We ordered the Butter Chicken, Tika Masala, Tandoori Lamb, Garlic Cheese Naan, Garlic Naan and a milk ball desert…. All of it was incredible!!! The service was also very personable and sweet!! One thing I’ve learned over the years is this, if a restaurant puts forth their best effort with less than 30 minutes before they close, they are the real deal! Normally at close to close of business, restaurants are pushy, short with you and limit what’s available on their menu, this restaurant rolled out the red carpet for everyone that came while we were there, including us. This is now our family spot for Indian and Nepalese food

Went to try veg Momo’s. Was disappointed with the flavors. Was expecting better filling sand flavors. Even Malai kofta was average and butter naan had no butter on it. Masala chai had too much masala that made it undrinkable. My wife liked chilly paneer, I did not like it though.

Really enjoyed my delivery of saag paneer, combo biriyani, and mulligatawny soup. The portions are generous and it arrived hot. Nice flavors and not overpowering. The biriyani had a slight unexpected spicy kick but I like that!

Fantastic dishes. Best Lamb Biryani and Sweet Naan I’ve had. While it’s not made the same every time, it’s always really good and when it’s on there is no comparison. I keep coming back!!!
